And finally, Sling Media is pleased to formally announce AirPlay support for SlingPlayer Mobile for iPhone and iPad. This feature gives Apple TV customers the ability to watch their home TV on a second TV inside the home (without needing an additional set top box) or on a remote TV. Slingbox 500, Slingbox 350, Slingbox PRO-HD and Slingbox SOLO customers can take advantage of this fully updated and supported feature.
Set-top device maker TiVo has updated its official iOS app today, bringing new features such as out of home streaming and downloading of content from the company's new Roamio Plus and Roamio Pro DVR boxes. The out of home streaming feature requires a Wi-Fi signal and allows users to watch live or recorded TV shows, while the out of home downloading capability enables users to download content from TiVo to their iOS devices.

Bought a 32GB space gray 5S over the weekend. Drove 40 minutes to the only AT&T store in the area that had them in stock. The Apple store hasn't had them for weeks, FFS.
1) color is better than my black 5. hopefully it won't chip as easy.
2) sold my 5 for $400 on eBay last night, profit.
3) the fingerprint scanner is cool but it drives me NUTS that you have to have the passcode set to "immediately" in order to use it. I've always had it set for 15 minute intervals so I could quickly reply during texting conversations, etc. Moreover, the fingerprint scanner doesn't always read properly on the first try.

I've been wondering if Apple is purposely delaying inventory of the iPhone 5S to help coax people into buying the iPhone 5C. There has been really low inventory of the 5S in the Pasadena area, and in the Inland Empire.

I've noticed it gets better as you use it more. I primarily use my right thumb to unlock the phone, but will use my left from time to time. At first my left was not recognized every time. Now, it doesn't miss. Pretty slick.

I dunno. I have a friend with one and he says he has no issues either. Probably user error. I might try to re-record my prints.
No, there are very hard to get everywhere. I think the process to make the 5c's just don't take as long.

They are hard to get all around...though lesser metropolitan areas (less apple buyers as a whole) tend to seem to have them pop up more often.
I think, as mentioned above, the global released as well as rumored production delays has caused shortages...but hey, supply and demand is a good thing for their stock.
And I don't know about the iPad airs...but the retina minis are rumored to be in SERIOUSLY short supply until early 2014.
This could be annoying because I am hoping to order one for my wife's bday at the end of the month, when they become available.

7.0.4 is out!

Apple has just released its iOS 7.0.4 update for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch lineups. The new software version is now available to all users with an iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPad Air, iPad (third and fourth generations), iPad 2, iPad mini or fifth-generation iPod touch. The release is a minor update with bug fixes including a fix for a FaceTime issue that impacted all devices. It follows iOS 7.0.3, which was pushed out in late October with a number of updates, not the least of which was the ability to disable the zooming transition animations that were making some users sick.
iOS 7 was first released in September and according to Apple, it took less than a week for the new operating system to be installed on more than 200 million devices. We said in a preview that iOS 7 is more about renovation than innovation, but we also found it to be the perfect balance of new design details and familiar functionality. Not everyone agrees, of course, and the new mobile platform has been panned by several experts and developers.
iOS 7.0.4 is available starting immediately as an over the air (OTA) update, and it can be installed by navigating to General > Software Update in iOS’s Settings app. The update can also be downloaded and installed using Apple’s iTunes software on a computer.
