anyways last weekend, i just realized that i used the so called Horrible apple maps to find a target and walmart nearby UC davis and some other stores in vacaville.
i kind of think people are blowing this a little bit out of proportion IMO.

I think the only thing wrong is the POI. I have a couple friends who wanted to go to some restaurants and used the maps to search it and take them there, and they ended up in long beach instead of LA. It is somewhat user error as well though as you should know a general idea of where you wanna go, right?
Her status was about going to botegga louie. Its a restaurant in downtown LA and she ended up in long beach.

Another friend said the business was on the wrong side of the street...so he logged and corrected it.
Im sure in smaller non-metropolitan areas its probably not as good...but major cities are probably pretty decent.

I think anything about the 3D stuff looking bad is blown out of proportion. Seriously who cares if a bridge looks all smashed up and what not. Everything around it still looks nice.

it's serious enough to Apple that they changed their website's wording...
http://appleinsider.com/articles/12/...-most-powerful
Revised Apple website no longer calls iOS 6 Maps most 'powerful'In the wake of criticism over its Maps application for iOS 6, Apple has revised its website to no longer refer to the software as the most "powerful mapping service ever."

Maps has been working for good so far.
I just wish they would've just gave everyone that got a i5, an adapter too switch the old plug to allow the digital cable now.

I tried iheart, but in reality, it's just too much of the same. Right now I use TuneIn Radio to listen to football games, Pandora and my itunes.
That's what I've heard for the most part. Might just save a little more for a modulator.
I've been browsing Amazon.Do you remember which one you got? They are so many different ones.

Was using Maps to navigate in yesterday's Oktoberfest festival in Manhattan... GPS is way off, so I had to orient myself based on the building pictures. I can only imagine what happens when you use the app as a navigation tool

So you guys pay the $25/yr for iTunes Match? Work well? I've been debating if I want to do it or not...

i'd rather just walk into apple and buy it in person.

They keep shipping to stores, you can try the Apple Store App and see if they show inventory for stores around you. I know they started doing that after the 4s release.

You can shop between 10pm-4am on the apple store and potentially choose in store pick up if they are getting a shipment.

Facebook check-in does not work for me. Location services are enabled and facebook is authorized to post... When I hit check in, no locations are displayed, I only have the option to add location. What could it be?

What do you mean by check in?
You can't do that in iOS. You gotta go into the FB app.
Or just add your location to a post, it's pretty much the same thing as checking in.

See I told you it was his phone.
If a 4S in the same area works and a reinstall fixes it. And the app is iOS 6 and iPhone 5 compatible... Then yea, phone issue.
