WTF are you guys doing to your launchers?
Honestly I have one page with folders and apps and a second page with the large calendar widget. I don't like the music widgets TBH but I'd like to hear your ideas.

Two pages of widgets: Bloomberg business week, steps, nhl scores, google search, weather, light switch controls.
Three pages of folders, phone related, work related, network related, home related, baby related, shopping related, prayers, games, food, bookmarks, remotes, finance and list goes on... So f@ck reset

Yes this Samsung Smart Switch?: Transfer Contacts, Music & More (it replaces Kies)
But I have never tried it.
Currently it's running pretty warm to the touch, but I think that is a product of me syncing a full year of Google gmail to one of my accounts (work).
I will check the temps once the sync is complete. Currently at 45-47C.

Grrrr...
The handset just rebooted again. I had a 10 minute call (on a BT earpiece), turned the earpiece off and set the phone down. Picked it up 5 minutes later and it was at the splash screen frozen. Rebooted and now it's "optimizing apps 43 of 128"...
Is there some logging I can enable to determine the cause of this?

You know, I jailbroke my Nexus7 to get kitkat back, so I am considering it for the phone, but my main concern is that I run a business from this phone and so having a stable, reliable, no hassle setup is important. I don't want to find myself having to do frequent flashes, updates, etc. nor do I want to have to worry about additional security concerns.
If I absolutely had to, sure, but I would REALLY prefer not to root it.

I agree. When the hell did phones become time limited devices and why is it ok? We buy TV's for cheaper and expect them to last at least 5 years when they used to last 10+ which is like a third of your lifetime. Other applicances as well last longer than a phone. Video game consoles, computers, the list goes on. Why do phones get a pass?
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU@K
Just rebooted again... Seems to happen AS I am receiving a call.
I know this because my work number, when I don't answer, goes to my Google Voice line, which is set on Do Not Disturb, so I get a Google voice (and gmail) notification of the message. I am realizing that many times the reboot happens as a call is incoming, because I am siting at my desk and as I see the reboot, I also see the desktop computer notification of the missed call and the google voice message.
Been using this setup for several years with kitkat with no issues until Lollipop
FFS...

OK, preparing for worst case scenario... New handset.
I don't want a phablet, I really liked the 4.7 inch screen and the 5" size form factor.
What are the best options right now in a sub $450 phone?

Yeah, maybe, just not sure it's worth the effort for someone to tell me "it's probably one of your apps" and leave it at that. Seems like there should be some log file that shows crash causes.
Is there any way for you to get an Xperia through a carrier though? Or subsidized in some way?
I wanted one badly before, and my friend wants to get a Z5 Premium. But the only way to do that is to get an international one... which means coughing up $800+, and you get no warranty.

I did not have any issues with my note 3.. it lasted me 16 months

Out of all the android phones I have had, Note 3 was the most reliable one. More reliable than my S6 Edge+
