My wife was forced to upgrade, and she claims she is having no issues.
My battery life is crap and I have to restart the phone at least every other day, because when the screen is locked my numeric pad goes away.
my Note 3 only has 5.0 and no problems. The ONLY issue I have, I had it before I got the update... and that's the "Unfortunately, Google + has stopped" message... (I've done everything I can and nothing helps)
So far i hate it. i hate all these new colorful crap and worst of all, i have lost some functionality with BT Pandora with my car. :mad
the colorful crap is Lollipop, if you don't like it and can't get used to it, you might as well go to a different OS or wait until they bring out whatever is next (might be awhile).
Would be nice if AT&T had this, majority of my data is with streaming. I use about 4GB/month with pandora.

you made me realize i used the word "got" instead of Received.
my step mom used to me all the time.
Lol, I catch the wifey saying "gunna" instead of "going to" frequently.... I also catch her putting arsenic in my dinner, but that's a story for a different thread...

Well Im still with AT&T's "unlimited" data plan, just the throttling sucks the fat one.
^Believe it or not I went shared and it comes out cheaper and that's with 10GB of data and one month rollover. I average around 6GB/month. If I upgrade the phone though or go Next

And when we say a lifetime of memories, we really mean it. With Google Photos, you can now backup and store unlimited, high-quality photos and videos, for free. We maintain the original resolution up to 16MP for photos, and 1080p high-definition for videos, and store compressed versions of the photos and videos in beautiful, print-quality resolution
So I am looking at this thinking "awesome" and I may have a workaround for the decision of "HQ" vs. "Original"... My DSLR is an older 40D, so my RAW cr2 files are generally under 16MB. I may be able to use the unlimited upload for ALL my RAW pics... Have to see if this really works.

Tell me if it works, but I suspect RAW won't be a format it supports. I suspect that HQ mode will compress everything, even if under 16MB. Did try this new app for a few minutes and I really like it.

Just from reading the help and community pages, I found this:
so I can apparently back up CR2. You may be right that they will compress ANYTHING uploaded as HQ, that would be a bummer.
I am going to wait to try it, though, as there seem to be a fair amount of "opening day" glitches...
^Just based on what they showed on there, the original vs. compressed version is not so different. Of course, if you want the pure originals then Google Photos is probably not for you. You can upload originals bigger than 16 MB but it will go against your Google Drive space. Flickr might be a better choice as they give you 1 TB of backup space for free and they don't compress images.
Need some help here. I have tried searching some forums but might not be searching for the right thin to get the answers. My Google Now weather card locations are showing up as numbers for two of the places I frequently visit. I have no idea why it is happening for there and not other places.
Crazy thing... N5 had a cracked screen after a drop... ended up being sent a Note 3 as a replacement... so I kept it but ordered a N6.. should be here today...
...and yes, 5.1.1 made my N7 work much better...
I used Veronica's Note 3 for a while and it really is a great phablet... I think she's gonna just wait unitl the Note 5 releases in September ( I think????)

qwik question for N6 users... can you be in a call and use google maps to check traffic? The Samsung Note 2 could... but this am on the way to work the N6 could NOT... am I missing something or have to set it up differently?
doc, Nexus 5's are discontinued and thus why you were sent a note 3.
cant answer your Nexus 6 question.
hey brother! how ya doing... thanks for the answer... I wondered about that... the Note 3 is actually a much nicer phone overall and has an amazinf screen... the clowns didnt send a battery or charger with it...
The traffic and weather is so crazy in Htown... I got spoiled to being able to bluetooth my calls and use the traffic / weather apps during my commute using the Note 2 ...

I love T-Mobile, been with them for like 12 or 13 years

You can't do call and data at the same time on CDMA carriers. Only GSM (ATT, TMo)
... on the Samsung Note 2 and Note 3 ( on Sprint) you can... you can take a pic and send via text message while talking on the phone ... surf internet ...
