The reaction here is pretty minimal I'm still waiting for Kit Kat. Thanks ATT

I will say a lot of the condescending posts and high and mightiness of total strangers that assume your story is annoying. Some of the threads are still entertaining though.

My Nexus 7 updated to 4.4.4 but my motoX is still on 4.4.2.
I was hoping for faster roll out of updates on the motoX since it's not bound to Verizon...

Eh, I still frequent here. Any place that is filled with people will be filled with more assholes. The way I see it, they're assholes because they have a terrible life to be that way. So you shouldn't let those people prevent you from enjoying the community.
I saw that post regarding Android L and was very impressed with the improvement. I also got the 4.4.4 update on my N4 pretty quick and out of nowhere. One of the reason why I will always stick with a Nexus device. Also, my N4 is still surprisingly fast. So I am a bit curious on how much faster it is to optimize dalvik and bionic.

But Android L looks so nice! Also I'm def getting a Moto 360 when it comes out, or at least I really want too. Hopefully the battery lasts a good amount of time.
Suzuka Master
Also hopefully the price is good too

Its interesting to see that none of the android wear products have any sort of sensors on it for fitness/health, while Apple's is rumored to be allllll about that.
Also google really didnt say much about their health fitness app. Or at least I didnt see much through the live blogs. Apple didnt say much about theirs either, but I'm guessing that was because they were waiting for their watch

Last but not least, ,Nexus program isnt dead!!
Goodbye.
And just like that more posts in a few hours than in the last month
What happened to your N5?
I might jump to Android Silver devices since they are likely to replace GPE and also their quick updates, but really I'm hoping for a Moto X+1 Moto 360 bundle.
Most likely at least $249.
Asus supposed to have theirs at $99.
You going for silver or black face trim?
the Samsung Galaxy Gear Live Ridiculous Name Oh Yeah! has a heart beat sensor, and I believe they all have a gyroscope (?)
Yup. Knew that about all the chicken little stuff all along

From what I read, they yanked the 4.4.3 update due to SSL vulnerabilities and rushed the 4.4.4 update to address it. I just have never seen the 4.4.3 nor the 4.4.4 on my moto X. Weird.
Also, I thought when I purchased directly from Moto that the phone would be totally devoid of any Verizon branding, but the splash screen is there on bootup and there is a logo on the back of the phone as well. Additionally my "system version" reads 164.55.2.ghost_verizon.Verizon.en.US.

While the new features on Android sure are nifty (except KitKat's color palette. Ugh. I dig ICS/JB's holo theme a lot more)...I'm still rocking a Galaxy SII. I haven't really bothered to pay close attention because I'll (finally) upgrade soon.
TouchWiz blows. I'm done with Samsung.
Any complaints regarding the M8's camera and its photos?

Silver or black, its going to be tough to choose! Maybe silver since I have a black watch? But if this watch is going to be my daily black will go with everything. Didn't know Asus was making one.

So is android wear the death of google glass? I dont see a use for consumers now and I'd totally take the watch over glass.
edit: only businesses have a use for it i think

I always thought that wasnt the real consumer price. Google must know they arent getting any money for that. Maybe it is just targeted to businesses, since anything for businesses always cost a lot.

I wonder if the moto 360 is going to offer anything over what standard android wear offers. Also it should have wireless charging since I dont think anyone saw pins on it. Thats going to be nice!
Goodbye.
Google Glass is not a consumer product, but still a developer/explorer/project x tool. The hype and scare-tactics from media outlets combined with uneducated opinions from the public made it seem like one and sadly it gets viewed as one.
Android Wear on the other hand is definitely a consumer product and sadly will be a bridge between the future future like Glass and the current slow pace people need to be comfortable accepting such advancement.
And yes, Android Wear, Auto, and TV will not have any OEM skins on them. That is one of the main restrictions given to OEM who wish to make them.
The 360 so far just offers a round face to differentiate....maybe stainless steel and fancy leather. It'll have Qi wireless charging and there is a dock/stand for it. The trick is not to get the bottom of the watch too hot as is known from Qi wireless charging, since it touches your skin and all.

Just saw a rumor that the moto 360 will be offered through moto maker. So right now theres definitely black and steal color watch faces. Gonna guess different band colors and maybe even different types of bands.
I hope I dont like the Moto X+1 to much. I dont need a new phone right now lol. My moto x is still good.

I'm still not sold on the smart watch thing. As a concept, it's great. But with any computer device, it's subject to crashes and lags. My smart phone is only two years old, and it's already experiencing severe lags, so sometimes the time display is not quite correct. For a watch, I need 100% confidence that the time I am looking at is correct. Can't afford to miss the train if my watch is giving me false information after only two years of use.
I think since the watch actually doesnt do much, and its more the phone sending things over to the watch, it should be fine.. But again you're right though after 2-3 years you're probably going to have to get a new watch since its slow and probably not getting more updates. While a normal watch can last you a decade easily.
Goodbye.

Band choices should be all kinds of leather colors, plastic/rubber and their colors, maybe even denim and kevlar.

Nice! I hate getting a new phone and only realizing you dont have the right sim card for it

I hate getting a new phone and have to either wait a few days to get both the screen protector and case or pay premium to have them both rush delivered. I'm paranoid and so I won't use the phone unless it has both, haha.

Same here. There is actually a nano sim in the box, so I probably don't need to go to T Mobile.
Any one have a tempered glass screen protector? I'm going to try one.

The time on your widget may be off, but the time in the notification area should always be right. Same goes with the lockscreen, unless you're using a widget on there too.

Yea I know its stupid. Its usually happening if you have something that keeps trying to kill it. Do you have battery saver apps? They will usually kill those widgets. I noticed that and it was one of the reasons why I don't use those types of apps.
Goodbye.
I'm sure you can get extra bands, though no one has figured out how the band-swap mechanism works or even if there is one.
New rumor specs about the Moto X+1 seems to be a 5.2" screen phone..... I wonder if it'll still be ergonomically excellent.
BTW, it'll totally be a 5.2" 1080p screen.

also supposed to have a snapdragon 800, 2gb ram, and 2900 mAh battery. Dunno how legit those are but i hope it has a nice big battery. Also theres nothing in particular that will make me switch. I'm just wondering since this will now be the new flagship motorola phone, whatever extra features they announce for it software wise, I wonder how much will be capable to come to the Moto X

I use (or used to use) HD Widget as a clock widget, but the time is never 100% correct anymore. The stock android clock widget is always correct. So it must have something to do with the HD Widget.

Hmmm, if you're using a third party app to keep track of time, then it's not the phone's fault for showing incorrect time. It's the app's developer that's responsible for that. If you paid for the app you should really report it to them.
Suzuka Master
Haha my moto x hasnt been as great in battery lately. I could def use a bigger battery. I cant get a full day out of it, but I also dont really employ battering saving techniques.
I'm pretty sure a lot has to do with email. I just get a lot more emails now with work.

The watches are going to keep track of time on their own, just like normal watches. You're not going to push the time to the watch every second! That'd totally kill battery life.
I've installed my fair share of broken/crashing apps on my pebble, but nothing has caused the pebble to totally hang. The watch OS is far more stable than phone OSes since it's simpler and you don't have all the carrier bloat/etc.
