Not even halfway through the games @ 14 medals!......the total for Torino was only 25.

The one thing i am disappointed in is NBCs coverage with the 2010 games.

yeah.. I would be too but I'm too busy, I don't get a chance to turn on the tv until 10PM.. so I can't really pay attention to anything other than highlights & whatever else might be showing live at that time over there..

The third chick was like a ragdoll! I can't believe they just got up and walked away.
The air they got was amazing.

QFT. Doublecork FTMFW. To post a 48+ on his victory run with the Double Mac aka Tomahawk at the end was insane.
Whatever. Do 8 straight hours of chest deep powder on the backside bowls of Vail until your thighs are burning like fire and then tell me snowboarding isn't a sport.

Interesting. Interesting.
I'm too out of shape for that. I guess I spend too much time watching real athletes win something physically demanding without judges and subjectivity

I'm not saying half-pipe snowboarding isn't cool though. It's kind of like watching Cirque du Soliel, except outside in the snow with pieces of wood strapped to the performers' feet.
edit: and outfits that are less gay.

Yea at least it beats figure skating LOL. Try as I might I can't get into it, GF made me switch the channel even though the Chinese were killing it in pairs (she's from Shanghai).
Don't get me wrong, hockey is definitely a real sport. I played Lacrosse in school and to me hockey is somewhat similar with the added challenges of ice skates and no soft grass to fall on. I watched a ton of Rangers games when I was in Manhattan for school but watching the Red Wings from the 3rd row center ice and being so close I could hear Federov swearing in Russian was prolly the pinnacle for me as a hockey fan.

He's going to argue with you for just about whatever you say. If you start to agree with him, he'll be in the pink spandex with feather boas doing the half pipe.

The woman from Sweden is back out of the course today, pretty tough bird!

They are only showing the men's hockey games on CNBC and they always show curling before every game and won't switch to the hockey game until the curling is over! Every game I've watched they've missed the first 5-10 min of the hockey game because they'd rather cover curling!
And just 2 min ago they cus to commercial during the Canada/Switz game and the Swiss scored DURING the commercial. GREAT TIMING NBC.

I have no problem with someone saying, I think Russia can beat them... but you seem pretty sure. We shall see.
As its being proven right now, in a tournament like this. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. Even your precious Russians could go down in the round robin.
Someone should really let Babcock know he has Sidney Crosby sitting on the bench.

The US Mens Hockey has been shown on USA, with no problems. You think they're going to go out of their way to show another countries game? They have to show commercials, but during the US Mens, they don't show as many. Sounds like pretty good coverage to the home team to me.

Let's put a propeller on them, and you on a treadmill and release them and see what happens.

Embarrasment, Disgrace, call it what it is. Can't even beat the Swiss.
But let me get back to the Russians who seem to be everyone's pick and I think I'm the only one who can't understand why.
Of all the major tournaments over the years, Canada Cups, World Cups and Olympics, tourneys which involved NHL'ers.
Russia won 1 of 5 Canada Cups (1981) Canada won the other 4.
2 World Cups - 1996 and 2004. Russia won neither. States was 86, Canada was 04.
Since the 98 Olympics, when NHL players began participating....nope. Czechs, Canada, Sweden....Do I even have to mention Lake Placid?
So Russia is favored why exactly? On paper? Say what you will but Canada has the overall better team front to back...on paper.
I can see Russia winning the tournament, wouldn't surprise me one bit but history hardly supports the argument. The last big tournament they won was almost 30 years ago.

On paper, I just wiped my ass with some paper and flushed it down the toilet.
