Still kinda disappointed there was no bench-clearing hair-pulling-cat-fighting brawl between the US ladies and Canadian ladies...

I watched the last six skaters, they were very gracious to the other skaters especially the winner and the Canadian chick who's mother dies.

And I didn't get to watch figure skating last night, but heard from everyone at my office that Yuna Kim dominated. Just finished watching the competition on DVR in our conference room and Jesus... it wasn't even a competition.

The Korean newspapers are headlining "All hail the Queen."

Her coach Brian Orser, 2 time I think silver medalist was dancing with her throughout the routine. She got him the gold he could never win.

yea it wasn't even close.

some are saying the judges were being generous with a 150 in the free skate. yuna said she was expecting a 140 or so. it still wouldn't have been close.

one article said it best: "kim made a mockery of the competition"

Ohno was cheated... his hand was off for 1-2 seconds while the Canadian skated before the Canadian fell.. cheated!

If they disqualify Apollo for the touch, then they need to disqualify the Canadian for the same thing and redo the whole race.

Home field advantage at its finest.

I saw a race last week where the guy came up from behind (like he was trying to b/f the skater in front of him) and they d/q the guy in front. Don't know how that was wrong.

Win some lose some. Ohno's has his share of luck.

Personally I don't think anyone should have been DQ'd. The Korean fell because Hamelin skate hit his hand causing him to lose an edge. The contact Ohno made didn't look like enough to make the other Canadian fall.

I agree. I was commenting to my brother that Ohno can't survive on luck forever. He's had quite a few races this year where luck won it for him.

Nonetheless, I still think they should reboot and run it again.

What an absolute disaster the Canadian men's short track team has been...up until tonight. Glad they pulled it together.

looking at the replays, the Canadians right hand hit the Korean dude first causing him to lose balance and then having his hand hit the Canadians foot.

and if everyone got DQ'd in the A final, the B final people would get bumped up, they wouldn't rerun it.
