But, at least we can now all say Urlacher is the best defensive player (and clean) in the League now...

Knowing the Raider's they'll draft Brady Quinn or the fastest guy in the draft.

Art Shell seems serious about letting Aaron Brooks back on the field at the expense of the development of young Andrew Walter...........this is the Raider's in a nut shell no vision for the future just a stubborn attitude to hold onto the past or the "Raider Way".

And yeah...people can say all they want about how the Cards blew it somehow, but it takes a good team to comeback from that many points too. The Bears are a good team. But, that being said, I'll save judgment until I see how the secondary does without Brown.
If Dennis Green had one ounce of competence left, the Bears would be 5-1. Believe me, I would know. And it's typical he would ax his off. coordinator after the game, even though he took over play calling in the second half.

Chester Taylor is the best pure rusher in the league right now.

I would add the Broncos to the dominant list. Their defense is nasty.

....and I really think someone should snap Roy Williams' neck so that we can all see him convulsing on the field Apollo Creed-style

How many times is that guy going to horsecollar someone and not get called for it? They invented the rule because of that worthless piece of wasted population.

I can't believe his overrated non-covering ass got away with that. Is that the only way he knows how to tackle or what?

He should put on 20 lbs and switch to LB because IMO, he is not good enough to play the safety position in the NFL. He would be a great LB.

Romo might have thrown 3 picks, but he looked a hell of a lot better than the Statue of Disappointment in the pocket.

I think the Cowboys have been way overhyped. They have yet to beat a good team in my opinion...

Tied with the Giants for number 4 rush defense in the league? That's why Tiki ran all over them and Jones had what...30 yards? hmmmm

I love Tiki Barber. Every team knows that he's the key to the Giants offense, but no one can stop him

Romo moved them downfield on almost every possession. If he cuts the redzone screw ups, he should start.

Cowler continues to insist that Ben Rothy play. Yet Charlie Batch has done well when he either started or filled in like vs ATL last week. I think Cowler is now screwing up not only Pitts season but they are messing with Rothys career. Not there yet, not even saying its close, but to continue marching an obvioulsy injured Rothy out there is stupid.

He should have fully recovered from motorcycle accident before playing. Yes i know he looked "fully recovered" vs KC, going 16-19 in a romp. I just don't think he was ever near 100% for the season. Batch is competent so why screw with the franchise in Rothy.

Another amusing edition of Paul Zimmerman's power rankings on CNNSI...

Some of my 's for this week:

20 Pittsburgh Steelers (2-4)
This is what I saw on the first drive against Atlanta. I saw Grady Jackson literally throw center Jeff Hartings clear and dump Willie Parker for a five-yard loss. I saw Josh Mallard, a reserve, a street free agent, beat Alan Faneca to the spot and sack Ben Roethlisberger. Now those are two All-Pros I saw getting beaten by a 33-year-old fatso and a youngster who'd been out of football for three years. I mean what's going on, anyway? The offensive line is an area of the team that's always been inviolate. Or is it now just in violet?

24 Houston Texans (2-4)
Before Sunday's victory over Jacksonville, assistant head coach Mike Sherman provided some serious motivation. "The Jaguars didn't have respect for us," said DE N.D. Kalu. "I heard they were dancing on the 50-yard line. Coach Sherman got the offensive and defensive lines together and told us that's like somebody coming into your house and walking on your carpet in muddy shoes. We took that personally. We couldn't let them get away with that." Damn right. I went through the same thing myself the other day. The Cablevision repairman walked all over the carpet in his muddy shoes. I told him, "You can't get away with that." He handed me his work order. "Here," he said. "Fix the damn TV yourself."

32 Miami Dolphins (1-6)
Medical and rehab specialists are devoting themselves to figuring out a way to restore Daunte Culpepper's physical zip. "This is an issue," Nick Saban says, "of getting explosive movement back, quick explosive movements." Have you tried a diet of beans?

The first-place Bears return to action following their bye week today by hosting the San Francisco 49ers at Soldier Field. Joining the Indianapolis Colts as the NFL’s only undefeated teams, the Bears will be attempting to improve to 7-0 for the first time since 1985 when they won their first 12 games en route to a 15-1 record and a Super Bowl title.
