yep, this is great game. that is all I ask for the finals. especially since I don't have a favorite team. As long as the pistons or lakers aren't in the finals, I'm happy.

Heat finally pull one out! 98 - 96.

Isn't that an NBA Playoff record? The most games decided by 2 points or less?

Again, WADE stopped the last stand by Dallas with 1 second left.

What a defense. Wade > James

I am actually glad Miami got this win, I have to say this was the first finals game I had fun watching.

Dallas has proved to be the best team in the finals, so far they are going to win. Miami still has a chance if they start playing, they aren't that deep in the hole yet. It would be a very interesting series if Miami can get the next game as well.

I think Wade intentionally missed the free throw, since there was only 1.4 seconds left. One odd tip by anyone, and the game is over right there.

Anyone else think that Dallas got absolutely SHAFTED by the refs on three bad foul calls in crunch time??

1) Shaq clearly pushes off on Dampier, get offensive rebound, gets fouled. Shoulda been called. Too obvious to just let it go. Hubie Brown noticed also.

2) Haslem's steal and Terry's (or was it Howard?) deflection of the breakaway layup by Haslem. Terry didn't touch him. Not with his body, not with his hands. Totallly clean. Seemed like the ref was determined to call foul on that play no matter what happened. Again Hubie Brown applauded the play as a "great deflection".

I'll give the refs the benefit of the doubt on this one though, cause fouls like that are called all the time. Still...

3) This one is unforgiveable if your a Mavs fan. The totally PHANTOM foul call on Terry in the backcourt off Miami's rebound. Although Posey missed one free throw, it just gave Miami a free point while the clock was stopped. That was SHADY as hell and no way in hell ever gets called, especially given the circumstance (Finals game, crunch time, close game)

Avery was pissed, and for good reason. If I were a Dallas fan, I'd be pissed too. Dallas shoulda won this game. Now Miami is back in it.

Miami still doesn't have the horses to win the series. But Wade was incredible, and GP made a shot that he hasn't made in a solid five years, and the Artist Formerly Known as Shaquille O'Neal is done( I hate to say it... I still got love for Shaq as a Laker fan)

Glad its a fun series to watch and not a sweep, and thats coming from a Dallas fan.

I still firmly believe Dallas will win it all.

I don't know why we can't play in the 2nd half like we did in the 1st. For some reason the 3rd quarter is the time for us to suck and it's been like that all year. Even in Game 1 before that late run at the end of the first half we were playing great ball. Part of it is they stop going to Shaq in the 2nd half, thus Walker having more shots again. I guess since Shaq had a good first half, Avery's adjustment let D Wade do his usual 4th quarter ownage.

Still don't see how Shaq is "done". Wasn't it 3 games ago he dominated the 4-time Defensive Player of the Year. Remember Ben Wallace guys? Every coach and player has said that Shaq has done the right thing by passing out of the double teams and triple teams. This time Wade made them pay and that's why Miami won. Maybe Wade was off in Games 1 and 2 from his flu, maybe Dallas' D was too tough, maybe he just shot better since he was home, but that's Miami basketball.

And speaking of BS fouls, what's up with Wade getting T'ed up for the dunk. I understand if we're in December on a 10 game road trip or whatever, but in the Finals. He didn't even hang that long.

Oh and stick the brooms up your asses.

Miami's real problem is turnovers; it seems like they have 15+ in every game.

You can't always work it into Shaq, eventually lanes start closing and less shots are open.. And you end up taking a ton of 3's.. At some point you need to make Shaq run screens out high and open lanes and keep the ball moving.. It's also a way to make it harder to double and triple team Shaq..

Setting up screens is not part of Shaq's contract.

Wade > James. I still stand correct. ANYWAY...

wipeout, Wade scored 42 points, not 41.

Dallas did proof that their roster is deeper than Miami. They can out score and make shots along with great defense. The serie can get interesting if Miami can pull a miracle and win the next 2 at home. Becuase in Dallas, it's going to be tough to get a Win out there. The only chance Miami got right now is to win the next 2 games. Anything less, they're gonna lose.............. Who's the better team ? DALLAS for sure. Even though I'm rooting for Miami.

Shaq used to be so dominate and now has absolutely no chance to score more than 15 points a game. Why? The reason is simple; back in the old Lakers team, they had Rick Fox, D. Fisher who can shoot easy 3s along with Horry. Kobe can control the ball and they also had Harper to help them. Here in Miami, they only have Wade. Posey, Haslem can only do so much and A. Walker.... he's the absolute worst. Whenever he takes a 3, I think to myself, "WTF are you doing?!" Shaq gets double teamed all the time, and someone needs to step up and make the shot every time.

I would have t'ed any player for doing what he did. He had a simple dunk where he did not need to elevate, but after the dunk, he pulled himself up for no reason. He wasn't trying to avoid contact, there was no one near him. Thats a T in my book.

Oh and Miami is going to get a big whooping in the next game.

I credit Dallas' excellent D on closing those lanes given their zone D. It's worked great so far. Shaq does set screens contrary to what some others think, it's part of the reason why we're here.

Very true this post. Also Shaq was allowed to power over guys before they bitched up the rules this year.

I don't care if Vince or anyone else in the league does it or not.
Whoever does do it should be T'ed up, just like Wade in the last game.

You see, most people actually thought Miami would win the series without any problems. On the other hand, no one thought the Nets would win, except me.

So if I were you, I wouldn't compare Miami getting their asses kicked with New Jersey. Cause you are just embarrasing your team.

Getting a little steamy under the color. Caught amnesia? Do you know how many talk radio shows and newspaper articles said that Jersey was going to win after we lost in Game 1? That game was in Miami btw. All we heard was that we had no answer for Vince and since Jersey won the regular season series they'd win. Miami's been the underdog regardless of seed number since Round 2. The only embarassing thing was how your team beat my team in the regular season series and basically got swept after a Game 1 aberration.

Just a thought but you should be worrying about Dallas a bit more than Jersey right now.

A lot of people hoped that Miami would win...(just cuz I dont like Cuban and really dislike Damp). Everyone knows that if Dallas can control the tempo and get easy points...they would win. Hell, none of us thought Dirk would suck this bad.....

In a way yes but if you keep Shaq all night at the post then the lanes will obviously be clogged. Shaq + double or triple teamed = clogged lanes..

If you move Shaq around a little it should open their game and especially Wades game.

That's how Wade gets to the hole at times. Besides, Riley's game is to feed to Shaq since it's worked all year. He doesn't want to make any wholesale adjustments.

And you'd think they'd have better spacing when they do that, but even last night it still sucked.

Miami's spacing on offense is horrible, especially when Walker is on the floor. Wonder when he's gonna figure out how to pass the ball when he has it, or stay the fuck out of the way when he doesn't.

I think you need a few years of playing experience with Kobe to learn that part of the game.
