Forget Hasslem and Posey, they need Morning and Walker to step-up and do somthing!

But damn they can't do anything against Terry/Harris/Howard and Stackhouse..

Yeah, I think Miami is choking and their bench isn't helping either. I just don't think Miami is deep enough in terms of roster to match against Dallas. Shaq needs to step up and let me say this......

[RANT] A. Walker fucking sucks!!! How many 3pointers did he missed last night????? He's by far one of the biggest overrated player ever. He chokes on big games, every single time. [END RANT]

In any case, the next 3 games will be in Miami. They ought to win the next 3 or AT LEAST 2 to stay alive.

If they lose game 3, the serie is over.

I like Dallas players, I think they work hard to get where they are now. I just can't stand the owner, he annoys the shit out of me whenever they show him. I also can't stand Jason Terry, after the suspension, a clip where he punched Michael Finley were shown. I lost all the respect for him. How could you do that? That's just unclassy. To me, he's a great player with no class. That's a loser in my book, he should look upto Wade and learn to be more mature.

The build up and the anticipation for the Finals was large to say the least. The playoffs this season has been phenomenal (relative to the past three-four years), but it looks like Dallas will take this series with ease.

There is no way Dallas will blow a 2-0 lead, or give the Heat's "life" by allowing a game 7.

I am surprised to say that Dallas doesn't really need to fast break against Miami. They are beating Miami in a half court game. No one expected that from Dallas.

This goes to show how an all round team is much better than having very talented people. No one on the mavs, except dirk, is a great player by themselves, but put together they are a championship team. I know I should wait till the series is over, but I can't.

to his defense, he did go 4/7 in 3 point makes/attempts, and shot 50% for the game. he has been a more solid contributor than SHAQ at this point.

Yeah just triple team him so that he can't shoot. If Wade was Wade and the others contribute prior to garbage time it's a different story. You can't say Shaq is done because he basically had Fort Knox all around him. There was no need to cover anyone else. Take the ball out of his hands. Don't forget all the bonehead turnovers too. Just an utterly sloppy game.

Define solid contributor...cuz defense is part of the equation....and not giving the other team 4 pt. plays is good too.

solid contributor notes:

1) offense - shaq has scored a whole 22 points thus far, walker, 37. walker has been the 2nd leading scorer in both games
2) defense - at least walker has tallied one block and one steal...shaq, goose eggs
3) minutes - walker has played nearly 20 more minutes than shaq in just 2 games
4) shame factor - walker hasn't been outplayed by dampier
5) total embarrassment factor - 2 for 16 from the free throw line
6) most quotacious ever - :crickets: for the media appearance

should i continue?

1) Offense....37 pts on 15-35 shooting...v. 22 pts. on 10-16 shooting.....so i guess if he jacks up enough shots...he should score more
2) Defense...1 block and 1 steal dont mean anything...Shaq alters shots.
3) Minutes - I agree.
4) Shame factor - Walker has no shame...look at his body.
5) Total embarrasment factor - everyone knows that Shaq cant shoot free throws...2-16 is better than 0-0. That's laziness.
6) Haahhahahah....I do like it when the Big Socrates has nothing to say..

Bottom line....the role players for Miami need to step up.. and shoot better. Shaq is gonna be double teamed. Someone needs to hit their shots.

1) 15-35 is respectable to begin with...now factor in that of those 35 shots, 16 were 3 pointers, of which he made 7. this brings him to over 50% in efficiency [(8x2) + (7x3)]/70 = 37/50
2) ever since he ballooned, shaq is a liability on defense
4) i'm looking at shaq's body, and it's not looking pretty
5) laziness is dampier outrebounding you, by a landslide. and, i'll take 0-0 anyday over 2-16. 14 missed free throws is equivalent to 7 turnovers IMO

i don't even like walker, he is over-rated...so, what does this say about the "diesel?"

Sour grapes? Read my post about him being double/triple teamed. When being double/triple teamed, kick out to a wide open shooter. Key word being shooter. J Will and Wade were off.

It's not like Dampier owns Shaq. Shaq covers him one and one while Shaq is double/triple teamed. Ever thought Dampier gets open shots because Shaq has to help pick up the fast guards that blow by our sorry perimiter D. It's not like Dallas doesn't admit that they can't cover him one and one.

Also what's the point of using Shaq for a game that's clearly over. Him and Haslem sat in the 4th. Why risk injury?

I'll give you the free throws because that's under his season %age but even if he hits all of those we still lose so it's about as moot as how many times DJ Obengo checks his Rolex.

Walker has received his share of blame for losing but the bottom line is that the team is just not playing Heat ball.

Dear God... 2-16 from the line? I've always believed free throws are 90% mental, 10% physical.

Shaq doesn't need a free-throw coach, he needs a psychologist.

they are better off without him.

if the lakers team with shaq (minus lamar and kwame) played this year's phoenix team, they would have lost 4-0, or 5-1 at best.

and, the post isn't about walker being a better player than shaq, it's proof that he's been a more solid contributor than shaq thus far.

I know that. But you made it sound like Shaq's such a POS. I was explaining why his stats haven't been favorable. Don't judge the book by the cover.

And I know you hate Odom. Thus making the Shaq deal even better for us.

yeah, Dallas is such a better team. It's almost the end of 3rd and they just keep scoring. How can you miss free throws in NBA finals?!

Miami looks to be down 0-3. Dallas 6points lead so far. Minutes ago, Miami up 4.

this series is over. Even if Miami manages to win tonight, no way they are beating Dallas 3 more times. Dallas blew them out in games 1 and 2 and even when they were behind, they have never been out of any game like Miami has.

oh my bad, double digit wins in first two games. even though it was only 10 points. Miami was never was able to pull away or keep the lead when they were ahead. Whatever they did, Dallas always had an answer. Which was the case in game 2, and also tonight. Dallas is just too good, much better than I thought.

was hoping Payton, mourning, williams would finally get a ring, but it doesn't look like its happening this year.

Game 1 isn't a blow out, game 2 you can call that at the end of 3rd.

Is it me or Wade is like Jordan? He gave me a reason to watch NBA again. He's just fantastic, he's the only guy that's actually doing something for Miami now...

yeah Wade is bad. he is doing his job. But i like what he said after game two. He said eventhough he scored 26 points, they still lost so that meant he could do more.

I agree, I stopped watching the NBA for the past few years, and pretty much all this year's regular season. These playoffs have been real exciting. I don't know why I stopped watching it, but I guess the reason was it was just too boring. and certain players whinning about money and what not.
