Well, seriously...this is such a contrast in the two franchises since they last met.
Lakers were reeling then and the Heat took it to them...now it is reversed. Should be interesting...

^^Just glad they didn't cough it up, geez those Celtics are dangerous.
I was at Saturday's Clips/Denver game. Mo Williams is a solid pickup for this team (and I heard good things about him, attitude wise, from my friend that works for the Clips).
Interesting how the East is stacking up..currently, its Miami playing New York if the playoffs started today. I honestly hope it stays that way, makes for a good first round, and a possible epic fall of 2 star-led teams.

So Boozer got injured by Kwame Brown on a flagrant at a meaningless point in the game?
After Kwame tried to rip Derek Fisher's arm off, I'm gonna say that Kwame is learning a little too much from Cats assistant coach Charles Oakley....

FWIW, while I think this Miami game is going to be fun to watch, from a Laker perspective, the game against the Mavs might be more important from a Western Conference standing point of view.
It would be telling if they won both, but I have a hard time believing they can keep up this streak (or that it's healthy to do so). I'm interested to see Phil Jackson's level of activity, whether he's actually coaching this game, messing with matchups, or is sticking with the usual rotations.
Judging from how much he's talking on the radio, I think he's into this game.

failhard.
If I were the Heat, I'd be mad hungry for a comeback. The crying is over, time to move on. The Lakers would be a perfect team to make an example of, with their 8 streak, to make a statement.
This'll be hype.

Well the heat's D needs to stop choking after 2 or 3 quarters. Coach Spo really needs to step up now. if not i dunno if he will be there next season. i don't think they will do anything at this point of the season for the coaching job.

maybe Miami is strategically losing to place themselves with an ideal 1st round match up

#1703
Does someone know the match up?
1 vs 8
2 vs 7
3 vs 6
4 vs 5
Is that how it goes in the 1st round?
Considering Boston may be #1 and Chicago may be #2, maybe....

Three Wheelin'
I dont get it , can you elaborate? Wouldnt the heat wants to be rank higher so they can play against and easier team in the playoff?
#1706
Remember, Bosh wants to Chill....
So why work so hard? Boston for example, is only one knee (KG), one ankle (Pierce), and one hamstring (Rondo) away from falling apart. Things break when you push too hard. And then there is Ray Allen going 0-45 from the 3pt line during the playoffs.
So might as well...Chill..

Mebbe the LeHeat was playing LePossum and wanted to the good teams like Chicago and Boston to feel superior and then come playoffs, BAM! BEAT THEM BY 80+ POINTS!
That must be it. Hope they go against Chicago so that they can teach the Bulls a real lesson and put them in their place.

While I doubt that the Heat will beat the Lakers tonight even if they did it might give them some confidence in the mean time but they are still a team in trouble. They have the lowest scoring bench in the league, no inside presence and can't close out close games which most certainly will come back to haunt them in the playoffs.
#1709
Thus, their record isn't indicative of how dangerous they will be in the playoffs. That is a dangerous matchup, IMO.

^ Boston is still the team to beat, though. No team in the East has the combination of offense and D like the Celtics...pains me to say it...

I still wonder how they will be without Perkins as their anchor. He's pretty damned important to their defensive scheme. He's like the Rondo of their defense...he held it all together like Rondo put the offense together.

Drifting
I think the push will be for those top 2 spots because the last 2 spots in the East are probably going to be pretty weak. Well I guess Philly (at 7) has been playing so great ball as of late, but really that 8th spot is going to be pretty sad (right now Indiana at 27-37, hahaha)

@ LeMiniMe...first, he nearly trips on his own feet...then Gasol blows by him for an easy buck...and then, he completes the triple fail by airballing it.

Should not be...they should be up by at least 30 points.
