Larry Brown out as Bobcats coach.

If the Heat don't live up to expectations I could see him in Miami next year.

Did anyone just watch the Bulls-Knicks game? Bulls were out of sync and the both teams had major turnovers. Knicks pounded the Bulls at the three point line. It was almost an exact replica of Nov. 4's game at the United Center.

But, we lost big last year to lebron, and won the championship. So

sad game.

The lakers played horrible I think it was those ugly shoes. The Heat definitely wanted it more and played a good game.

Gasol played horrible. He had gimmes, and blew them. I think the Lakers aren't anywhere close to being ready, but its better now then later. I would have liked to have seen more effort, but Phil was already saying before the game that he hated Christmas games.

Even though this was a marquee game, I thought the magic/celts game had more on the line.

Come on guys. Don't say that the Lakers didn't want to kill the Big 3 since they talked more about the Heat then the Lakers. Right now they're just playing like shit. I agree the game is pretty meaningless but teams step up for Xmas games since the whole country is watching. @ Kobe's comment to take them off the Xmas games schedule. And @ Artest's comment that LJB's triple double was average. Wow.

BTW, I'm officially scared of the Magic.

^^Of course the Lakers want to win every game, but I didn't see where anyone here said that the Lakers didn't want to win the game? IMO, they wanted to win, but were too cocky/arrogant in their abilities. I understand that they won it all in the past 2 of 3 years, but they've been skating through this season.

Kinda glad they lost....Kobe's pissed and everyone that isn't working will be exposed.

FWIW, I'd rather not seem them play on Xmas anymore. Its just as important as the other games, but it shines a spotlight on the Lakers when they aren't really ready, be it against the Heat, Celtics, Phoenix, whomever. They are on in good and bad years. Its a little tiresome as a fan, because I/we've been watching them being the center of attention for the past 10 years. The only real time to get up for something is in May and June.

Besides, I think the Spurs and New Orleans might be more 'important' than the Heat game. I think the Heat rightfully thought of this game as important and came in with the appropriate amount of intensity.

I see. I don't think its a bad thing though. The Heat were clearly had a better mindset, if that's a better way of saying it.

Orlando's win is pretty big as well. They beat a Celtics team that is playing well.

The Heat did want it more they have something to prove and the Lakers don't. The Lakers have a losing record on Christmas and as I'm sure you have already heard they don't want to play on Christmas anymore. The fact is the Lakers aren't playing good ball right now and they got blown out but no matter what the outcome was the Heat wanted it more because the Lakers know that winning a game on Christmas doesn't get them a ring.

Nah, its not too bad. But I will say that too many people look to it as a 'test' or a 'statement' when its just another game on the schedule. Today's game against the Spurs is somewhat more important, as the Spurs are actually the best team (record-wise) in the league to this point.

I'll say the only time I saw that the Lakers had anything to prove on an xmas game is the year after the Lakers lost the championship to the Celtics, they had something to prove. But this years Lakers aren't as motivated at xmas as those Lakers.

I realize the Mavs were without Dirk, but how the hell do they lose to a team missing 3 of their best players and 5 regulars overall?

A Raptors teams missing that much is essentially a B league team.

The Raptors remain without top scorer (Andrea Bargnani, 21.2 points), leading rebounder Reggie Evans (12.1), starter Sonny Weems and long-range shooter Peja Stojakovic.

Starting guard Jose Calderon became the latest addition to the Raptors' injury list when he missed the game after hurting his ankle during Monday night's 96-85 loss at Memphis
Not to mention they then lost the backup point guard in the 4th quarter.

Spurs, Celtics, Heat....my 3 elite teams at this point.

Spurs: great team work. Just great offense, and defense. Ginobili is having an MVP season up to this point, and Duncan isn't the focus....that's what's really interesting about them.

Celtics: haven't watched enough of them, but they have some stellar D. Its the usual story for the past 3 years.

Heat: Winning on 'talents' and defense. Very good....finally got out of their early season funk.

Luckily, its not even past the all-star break. Sustaining this sort of 'groove' is difficult for any great team.

What about the Mav's they defeated the Celtics, Spurs and the Heat (the Heat twice). They played the Spurs and Heat in back to back games and won both how can you leave them out? The Spurs on the other hand haven't played the Heat or Boston yet and they lost to the Clippers.
