Anyways, Milwaukee was a nice place to visit. The stadium was very nice considering it's ten years old...you'd think it was brand new. Very well taken care of, but unfortunately it's out in the middle of nowhere, but it wasn't a big deal.

And I've never seen so many people tailgating for a game in my life

The people were very nice...we were all (about 35 of us) wearing our Reds stuff so of course we heard some jeers, but most of them were good-natured and they would come up to say hi and welcome us. They said as long as we weren't Cubs fans they liked us

There were a couple incidents with drunk trashballs being stupid but it wasn't a big deal, and there were cops pulling people out of there left and right during the game on Saturday night, but not Friday night, which was odd.

Overall I'd recommend taking in a game if you're ever in the area!

I think STL will probably be a better visit just because of the intelligence of their fans. It's not like you're hitting the northeast where there are plenty of scumbag fans (disclosure: I am not lumping in good fans to this statement)

As long as we don't wear "Kick it like Cueto" shirts we should be fine

There's always bad apples in every group, so it's no big deal. It helps that we're not a loud group or anything and not there to start crap, just there strictly for the baseball and .

I will say though, the fans up there were really into it as far as taking the game seriously. I've been to 4 games at Wrigley and the atmosphere wasn't even close (although it probably helps that the Reds and Brewers are still contending while the Cubs were always completely out of the race).

Either way, it changed my perception about the city

Hate to say it, but I think you're right. Things like this always cause an overreaction.

Not easy to wear a Redsox jersey inside yankee stadium or vice versa. I actually went and saw the Reds play the O's in Baltimore a few weekends ago and was surprised at how many Red fans were there. There were also people wearing Phillie jerseys. Everyone got along great. Also a great stadium and a fun place for a game.

You know your team can't wait to get rid of you when they pay the other team to take you. Maybe Prince Fielder is coming the other way!

The KRod trade was all about avoiding his $17.5M option for 2012.

Hopefully it is indicative of their intentions to re-sign Reyes.

Because of the knee issues? I think most teams are looking at him as an offensive boost at COF.

The bigger issue is I don't see any team giving up a top 100 prospect for him.
He can't be offered arb and won't be cheap next year.

Yea, his knees don't have much left. It's a matter of time before he get's hurt again. He should be looking for a eventual DH job, since apparently, he can still hit.

We aren't expecting a top prospect for him. Because of his contract we don't even get a prospect for losing him to free agency, so just getting something a for him along with shedding his salary will be enough.

Mid-west fans, mid-west people are generally kinder and nicer than any Northeasterner's. I remember when Larry Walker got traded from the Rockies to the Cardinals. At his first bat up as a red-bird, he got a standing ovation. Walker struck out on 3 strikes and the crowd STILL gave him a standing ovation. Now as a Mets fan, that was a surreal and bizarre scene i watched on TV.

Oh yeah, he's gone by the trade deadline. Talk on NY sports radio is that he may end up as a Giant. It makes sense: the Giants really, really need a bat to compliment their pitching.

Reds are 1-7 against them, and a winning record against everybody else in the NL Central. I think 28-22 overall
