I'm sure the Star Tribune is countering with how can you lose to a team that starts three guys batting under .210, making $10 million per?

Harrelson was warming up the baseball karma gods by saying how good Minnesota is and that Ozzie never overlooks them.
Har har. Well, Thome hit one far enough the other day to take out 2 lanes on the Express.

And, he hit another one the opposite way yesterday. Sure, it was against KC. But, still. And Paulie also contributed nicely with the walkoff HR two nights ago. So...there. Besides, it is all about timeliness...and well, the ChiSox may not have nice numbers but they are timely when it is needed.

All I know is that Swisher needs to hit better.

Now you're sounding like the Hawk himself. How many runs did they give Thome? The rule is 1 for every hundred feet over 300 right?

The Twins are all about timeliness. They've got terrible numbers but they lead the AL in AVG w/RISP.

Pffft...He speaketh the truth...even if he's a bit sometimes.

And as for your Twips, they're timely alright. Timely enough for the ChiSox to bury them deep under in the Central like what was done to the Indians recently.

Yup...Buerhle is what now, 21-11 all-time versus the Twips?

Thank-you Minny for getting Mark his 3rd win of the season and lowering his ERA to 4.80.

@ Twips getting by the ChiSox again today...

I think Chicago is on a tear since Ozzie's last rant...? He may be to everyone else but there is a genius behind that motormouth of his.

Says the guy with 3 rooks on his team (Bruce, Votto, Bailey). We would've had Friday's too since Olsen pitched a gem but the bullpen has been off this month. Hopefully we win the series tonight.

The last three games have been absolutely embarassing. The Twins fall behind and they give up at the plate.

If the rain holds off, I'll be at this afternoon's make up game. Drastic situations call for drastic measures. I'm breaking out the Kent Hrbek road jersey.

The quote from Mike Imrem...

Ozzie Guillen's management style is sure to spread.

Like, maybe to George Bush:

"I'm sick and tired of these gas prices, and if Congress doesn't do something by Tuesday I'm going down to the corner station and rip the '4' off $4.29 myself."

If Guillen were Bush, by midweek we'd be paying less for gas than the Saudis.

Then maybe to Sam Zell:

"The state better buy Wrigley Field in 48 hours because if it doesn't I'm going to Springfield on Tuesday and turn Blago's rear end into an ATM."

If Guillen were Zell, taxpayers would be paying for Wrigley renovations by next winter.

Finally maybe to Tom Skilling:

"I'm giving Jerry Taft until Tuesday to cancel that tornado or I'll go out there myself and blow it back to Oklahoma."

I still can't believe that game Saturday night.

Me and my brother were watching it thinking we had it easy when Cordero came in. Cody F'n Ross!?!

And I don't even want to talk about yesterday

Cody Ross = Best HR hitter in MLB. Dude had like 8 homers in his last 10 hits. Something ridiculous. He's acheiving cult status down here.

He did something like that when he was with the Reds.

Got real hot for a few games and showed some potential, then we dumped him. Good logic guys

Somewhere...in US Cellular Field, a squirrel in a Hrbek jersey just threw a cussed filled diatribe after watching the Twips choke up the lead in the 7th inning.
