From what I understand this pissed a lot of people off in DC..
http://views.washingtonpost.com/worl..._ovechkin.html

From the article..
I didn't hear anything about this til now...
But far more disturbing is Ovechkin's behavior in Vancouver. First, he shoved a female fan's camera and reportedly she suffered bruises in the incident. Now comes the news that he broke the camera of a man asking for an interview. There is video of each incident. How this has gone largely un-discussed is nearly as annoying as Ovechkin's churlish behavior. Is he so distraught about Crosby kicking his butt repeatedly that he has to take out his frustration by smashing people's cameras? The woman referred to earlier was reportedly a fan who traveled from Russia to Vancouver to root on her hockey heroes, including Ovechkin.

There is a podcast up now if you want to listen to the whole show to find it. I guarantee it's in there and that I'm not making a thing up.

Fuck Michael Wilbon, stick to something you know about, basketball.

I would have done the same thing to the reporter in the coffee shop, he's there to enjoy himself and every time he looks up the reporter had a camera on him. If the reporter wanted to interview him, he should have make an appointment to do so.

Good for Ovechkin!

Don't jump in front of him, or keep shoving your cameras in his face while he is out trying to enjoy himself with his friends.

Highly doubt Pitt, no cap and they are in need of RW not LW.

Rumor is Ponikarovsky to Pitt for Luca Caputti, presumably to play with Malkin. Jonesi, Malkin isn't going anywhere, Tanger or Gogo may very well go, but we'll see. Mckee will not be traded since we're only paying $800K of his salary

Did I say he was going anywhere? Merely relayed what was said on a the radio by a ESPN voice. If they trade for Ponikarovsky then all the rumors about Caputti being on mgmt black list are true. Supposedly over the olympic break the Pens were unable to sign Gonchar to a extension and could very well also be on the list, although, highly unlikely.

Looks like with Skoula added to the deal it's going to go through.

Caputti is a good player, Leafs got a steal. He did some stupid shit and was always in the dog house for being a idiot. He needs a fresh start and could be a awesome player in the right environment. Looks like the Pens gave up on him.

Couple of things, if it was Crosby who did that you guys would be all over him for what a whiner/baby he is, but when its Ovie, its somehow acceptable. Wow.

And I doubt he's pissed because of Crosby. I'm sure he's smart enough to know its a team game, not him vs Sid.

I disagree on this one, Ovie was stalked by the reporter. Same shit that most go through with TMZ, more power to him for that. They say the other one was a fan, there was talk on a local radio show that she might not have been just a fan.

People that are famous because what they do for a living have a right to privacy. Running up and sticking a camera in their face, in most case just to get a reaction out of them is bullshit.

Doesn't sound like the Caps are going to do much at the deadline. While I like the "don't mortgage the future" stance and McPhee's unwillingness to take on stale contracts, I'm not sold that the team is solid enough to win the Cup. They are playing so well this year, it would be a shame to not make it into a serious Cup run by not adding a solid blueliner and more experienced goalie.

You said that was the rumor, and I was disagreeing with the rumor, I don't know wtf caputi did, but seeing as the pens were keeping him on as dead weight, I'm glad they got something for him

Skoula was a great fill in, but not consistent

because it's ovie he gets a pass, go figure Crosby gets stalked EVERYWHERE he goes, especially in Canadia and I've yet to see him assault anyone.

Kings looking real strong last night after the Olympic break

Word on the street is that Justin Williams will be back in the lineup in a week or two!!!!

Unbelievable considering he pretty much twisted his leg to pieces not that long ago.

Same here....there was only the slight outside chance he would come to LA.

Got the TSN radio feed up.

Upset about the Wolski trade. I wanted the pens to get him, but he is due for a big raise this off season.

Indifferent on the pony rental... he's ok. He's having immigration issues and won't play til the weekend.

Hoping the pens can land Torres but asking price is a 1st rounder, too steep.

Huge story up here. Crosby's stick and gloves go missing after celebrating the team Canada gold medal. Hockey Canada is launching a full instigation.

Kings acquire Jeff Halpern from Tampa Bay.....for TBD.

Good quality veteran pick-up for the young Kings.
Much needed for the playoff run.
