Yeah, like Treliving was the Flames' GM and basically was panned for putting together a slow roster and then, hiring a coach that was a bad fit for that group...and so, now Leaves thinks he has what it takes to lead them to the promised land?
I don't get it. He just failed in Calgary. What makes Toronto think he can be good for the Leafs?
Coaching is also the same thing to an extent. Coach ABC just gets canned and finds a job elsewhere immediately...um...okay?

Seriously...can't find new blood? At all? Just recycle the same crew? Really?

Definitely an impressive and definitive win, FLA had no answer for them. Every time they entered Vegas's zone Vegas literally took the puck and was going the other direction and shooting on Bob. And Bob looked bad the whole cup final, he definitely reverted back to the Bob of the playoffs that I knew from all those years in Columbus. FLA was the dark horse of the playoffs and it's impressive how far they made it and the way that they beat Boston and swept Carolina, but Vegas was the far superior team and it was fun to see them win, especially the original "misfits"

Just another example of a coach coming in year 1 and changing the culture just enough to win. I wasn't a big fan of his given the teams he's come from, but you can't argue the way his team and players play for him

Bruins get some not-terrible prospects too.
FWIW, I'm not sure I like what Chicago did here for a team like Boston who is desperate for cap space -- I would've asked for a pick or prospect -- at least.

Yup...finally, someone I recognize at least!
But, take away my grumping of not trying to get more from Boston -- a la the hostage-situation -- I like the trade. Hawks need an injection of veteran leadership and with Foligno just now signed to a 1-year deal, it gives the kids 2 grizzled players who know the ropes. And if Bedard is indeed the savior, someone to pass the puck to in Hall.

And I'll say it again, from a karmic perspective, I get that Hawks do NOT -- absolutely do NOT -- deserve Bedard.
I still cannot get over how they ended up with him -- again, let's also agree there is no rigging (if there was, how the eff did Edmonton get 23948732904732 first-overall picks??!?) -- but, if the kid is even half as good as McJesus, Chicago seriously just dumped nitro on their rebuild. Though, I won't go as far as dream Cup because that's going to take more than a generational player.

Pens sign Graves and a bunch of over 30 year olds again making ourselves older. Looks like Cabby's Rangers are following suit signing a bunch of old bastards
No looks like, they did, really makes me want to know why they blew up the team in the name of "youth" only to not play the youths & now bring a bunch of octogenarians in.
GAAAAAAA
