I am just dumbfounded why the Rangers are struggling on 5-on-5 play...I did not expect them to have this much trouble with NJ. On paper, it does not make sense. We'll see what happens in Game 6.

Not even shocked. They played like crap but also to have such a depleted roster already in the first round is hard to overcome. The Avs play a high motor game and expect a lot of defense out of the forwards as well to make the system work. When you are down 4 regular forwards (2 top 6 and 2 bottom 6) and 1 top 4 dman it just isn't the same team. So many guys trying to play above where they are capable. Kind of glad the season from hell is over.

The President's Cup winner and the Cup Champs both lose in the first round, it has to be some kind of record. I know the Avs (cup champs) losing to an expansion team in that team's first playoff apearance, definitely a crazy year

I cant believe the Stanley Cup champs lost in the 1st round. At home in game 7. That has to be the biggest upset of the playoffs. I cant think of anything else that comes close. Right?!
