Bruins get win number 62. Interesting play at the end. Pasta tried a wraparound with about 5secs left in the game. It was deflected away and time eventually ran out. What is the technical rule if this went in? Is it too bad the game is over or do they send everyone back on the ice.

I agree. No evidence to show it was a goal, just curious what the rule is.

EDIT:Hypothetically after the game ends can they review it? And if it is a goal do they bring everyone back on the ice to play out the remaining 5secs even though it had no impact on the outcome

 

Yes, I've seen it happen where they call players back on the ice, but like you said when it has no impact on the game they're less likely to review it

Seriously, Hawks should've rested many of their starters yesterday and for the rest of the season...use it to 'evaluate' the prospects. What were they doing trying to be competitive with the Pens?

 

And the longest playoff streak in professional sports is over, it's bittersweet, but I hope that it forces real change in the Pens organization

This hurts more than Keith and Kane going. Toews is the Crosby to your Pens...heart and soul of the team and essentially, the driver that helped win those Cups. No Toews, no Cups. Simple.

This...this is why he's my favorite player and despite growing up a Hawks fan as a kid. This is why he overtakes players of my childhood like Larmer, Roenick, Savard, Chelios, Belfour...

 

Anyways, the last few seasons have been difficult as more members of the fantastic core has left but this one is the hardest...hockey is still a beautiful sport for me but, as a Hawks fan, this will take awhile to recover.

Yeah, totally underperformed. Pens were NOT in a rebuild so, I'm still stunned they were ousted. Dunno -- do you think the fix is easy?

Until Edmonton proves they are anything but regular-season scoring stars, I have my Western pick as the Avs -- even without Gabe.


East, holy...very hard to pick for me. It is a toss-up right now between the Rangers, Bolts, Canes, and Bruins. I really really really want the Canes to make it to the dance but I don't know if they have enough jam and size. I will sleep on who my pick out East is...report back soon.

 

Sid has 2 more years on his current deal I believe, as long as Sid is here we should be in the playoffs
