It is, but nowhere near as impressive as the Pens when they won in 16 and 17. The Bolts would never have won back to back without the restructuring of the divisions and the seeding bs in the bubble, not to mention the salary cap manipulation. Heck, Montreal wouldn't have even made the playoffs if they were in the East. The whole thing was kind of a farce honestly

One of the hardest titles to win in all sports. I think...even if the format was different last and this year, the fact that the Bolts came out on top is impressive. You play the cards you're dealt with and go from there. The fact does not change that even in an 82 game schedule, Tampa had one of the deepest and scariest rosters. 4 lines and 7 d-men deep. And with a decent goalie too. I think the teams that are in shouting distance are Vegas, Canes, and Denver. It was always a matter of which of these 4 coming out on top. The Habs' run was magical but them going out in 5 (I think I called 5 or 6 at most earlier) was the universe correcting itself after they ousted the Knights -- a team they had no business beating either.

Anyways, Kucherov's presser was hilarious.

I definitely feel it was a bit against the good nature of the game but it was technically by the rules what they did I get it. I imagine we will see it exploited more and more now until the league does something about it. I mean why wouldn't you if you have the chance.

Were the injured during the season and had the eligibility to return for the playoffs? I don't remember the situation for the Pens back in 2017 but this is a case of Kucherov being healthy enough to return for the playoffs and so, Tampa totally milked that.
