Tim's numbers have always been impressive.

If you want hardware, look at Quick of the Kings but to me, he's one of the most overrated goalies ever.

Alex Kerfoot has 5 points in 4 games.

McJesus has 4 in 4 games.

As an Avs fan that Kerfoot stat is hilarious. Glad he is finding some success there cause he was pretty terrible in Colorado in my mind.

Pittsburgh needs to figure out a goaltender solution before they waste the last years of Crosby's career.

Yeah, I stuck by Jarry through his ups and downs this year, but he has proven himself to not be a #1 caliber goalie, we definitely need some help in net.

These 1 and dones make me appreciate the 16 and 17 cup runs even more. Not sure we'll see another run like that in Crosby's career

Sorry about the Pens' ouster. FWIW, at least your squad didn't get swept (COUGH, OILERS) and as much as I dislike the Islanders system, they are a dogged and hard-working team that may give Boston fits in the next round and take it to 7 games.

I did not watch enough games with Jarry in net but saw him as a decent #1 who needs more experience and seasoning perhaps?

There is still a black and gold team in the playoffs you can root for

I think Jarry has a better chance to find success on a defensive structured team that limits high danger scoring chances. That just isn't what the Pens are though. That isn't to say they lack defence but that isn't what they are built around. Hindsight is 20/20 but I think they would have been better off letting Letang or Malkin walk and sign Fleury instead even though he was going to be expensive. For all the mind game issues Fleury has he is still one of the best goalies I think we have seen in the NHL.

Yeah, completely agree. More goalies are a byproduct of the system and players in front.

So, you're sayin' the Oilers don't have a goaler problem but there's is systemic?!??? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...

What's frustrating is his mishandling earlier in his career, we heard for years that this kid was the next best thing, but they wouldn't bring him up and give him NHL experience, they even played our backup DeSmith ahead of him an entire season and gave DeSmith a multi year extension as a backup while Jarry was down in the minor leagues. I felt like if they had brought him up and groomed him better he may have been more reliable, they also fired the goalie coach because Matt Murray's guy was waiting in the wings, however Matt Murray's decline after the 2 cup runs and Jarry making the same boneheaded mistakes game after game clearly show that he was not the right choice as goalie coach.

Truth, although Fleury could not have stayed, it was a cap issue plain and simple, plus Murray won them back to back cups, it was the obvious choice at the time

Everyone has been losing their minds over leafs/habs going 7 games. I called it from the beginning, it's only fitting for this rivalry.

With that said..

What an OT!

Love that goal!

Bite me Bruins.

Damn not being a homer but Reaves deserved more than 2 games for what happened on Sunday. That isn't hockey what happened after the whistle on the ice. Hell, he straight admitted it was retaliation for an earlier hit as well. Also, the hit by Petry on Galchenyuk in the MTL/TOR game was basically the same kind of hit Kadri did and he got no suspension. DOPS continues to be a joke.

That is what I am saying. I know it was a cap issue so maybe trading Malkin or someone else to keep Fleury might have been smarter.

I think the Oilers problem might be they have like 3-4 good players and a butch of 4th liners after that. There is a lot wrong up there in my opinion.

Tough break on the OT turnover, but shit happens

I think the refs have been fair so far but that cross check penalty on Carlo that lead to the Isles first goal was brutal

Avs looks unstoppable.

The Bruins/Isles tilt should be close...I do expect Boston to prevail. Habs/Jets is meh. Don't care.

The series I am most interested in is the Canes/Bolts...

Totally agree that he should have been suspended, but still scratching my head how Tom Wilson who literally assaulted 2 guys got nothing.... Still doesn't make sense to me

I have to note the utter failboatness of the Leaves and Oilers though this year...

They have arguably the best young talent money can buy right now on paper with their forwards like Auston, Marner, Leon, and McDavid...respectively. And their path out of the Socialist Division is just going through some really meh squads (compared to Edmonton and Toronto)...and both choke out of the first round and shoot themselves in the foot.

Last year, Edmonton had to get past a non-playoff Hawks team. And choked.

Wow. The lack of clutch from these 2 franchises is well...crazy. Makes you wonder what would've happened if either drew a team like Denver, Boston, Tampa, and etc. in the 1st round instead, the series would've been over in one game.

Yeah, in addition to having all these resources and big name players, for them both to flop in such a weak division is just crazy, this was the year for one of those 2 teams and they failed miserably

I cannot adequately describe just how relieving it is to know that the Oilers have ZERO chance of getting the lottery pick this year. THANK THE FARKING GODS.

Draft lottery seedings are set for tonight at 6PM ET...

Sabres, if any franchise needs help as badly, nab the #1 overall pick.

They are a team that I would root for just because they have been the doormat for so long. I gather Owen Power is the #1 ranked prospect? So, him and Dahlin isn't a bad foundational setup...the question is, will Eichel stay...

Well, Eichel was technically not #1 as he was second fiddle to McDavid going to Edmonton.

Well, looks like Mark Scheifele decided to channel his inner Tom Wilson and take off Evans' head last night.

Dirty hit, blindside and he left his feet, sadly Wilson got nothing and is a repeat offender so looks like Scheifele will get off light as well

Well, I know Vegas is always good when it comes to playoff hockey but damn the Avs need to play better and not look like they have packed it in already. It's like Vegas figured out their game after the first 4 periods and not they just gave up. Rather depressing to watch honestly. Avs do not even look like they belong in the playoffs the way they have played most of the last two games.

A week ago it looked like the Avs were steam rolling to the finals, but not so much anymore

Side note - Avs or Knights will destroy either Canadian team in the next round

Blowing that 2-1 lead into the game and allowing it to be 3-2 Vegas was the turning point. That said, it was supposed to be a very tight match between these 2 squads and the GK just did their counterpunch. Now, it's a best of 3...I need it to go to 7...what a series.

And yeah, the road to the Cup Final for the Western Conference is through Denver/Vegas. I think for the East, it's the Whalers/Bolts...

That 6min of game 3 was so infuriating. Another stand on his head performance by Grubauer and they just threw it all away.
