That rookie goalie for St. Louis is something else. Man did he put the team on his back early on in that game till they finally got on the board and still had to hold them up throughout making some key saves. Kinda bummed I didn't bother to watch more of the series. Happy to see O'Reilly win a cup. Hated when Colorado let him walk. He is absolutely a beast of a center.
So happy for my hometown Blues finally reaching the top of the mountain! Longest wait in NHL history finally over! The Blues (my other team) winning was second best only to the Pens cups, it was such a fun series to watch. Binny played out of his freaking mind in game 7, I couldn't believe the saves he made, was sad to see the shut out end but so glad the Blues gave him enough goals to win. What an awesome series!
Hmmm...no discussion on the Maatta trade. Guess hockey season is over.
From the outlook on what Chi-town is getting. Pretty much a solid D whose speed will frustrate you to no end. Pens have been waiting for him to get 'just a little better'...but it never seems to happen.
Found himself looking in as the 6th or 7th D once everyone got back at playoff time. Where he's never been since draft day. Pens were swept in this case...which goes to question if this is the right decision.
It was a good trade in my book and one of the only cap affecting trades that the Pens could make. I'm still curious to see if Kessel ends up moving before the draft
Am in Waikiki this week. So, saw it as I was in transit.
Hawks need more D and the guy is still young and hopefully can get better after a great year before he had a setback last season. In Kahun, Pens are getting a very versatile forward for cheap who can play on all 4 lines.

Sandy Beach - east side. Don't break a leg there (nicknamed Break Neck Beach)...that's the only advice I can give. Broke mine there last year...sucked...but glad (and damn lucky) it was only my leg.

If they get rid of him...they're idiots. He scores goals...that's what he does. Other guys around him handle the back check and other shit.
People are just as stupid to say 'get rid of Malkin'. Like there's a better 2nd line center somewhere on this earth. He had an off year...talk to him about the penalties and move on.
Letang is the one to move. Not only was he out for the goals against in the playoffs...he was practically in the neutral zone. But who would give something for that mush-melon. He's one hit from retirement...
Trading Malkin would be stupidity by the Pens. He's a franchise-player and one of the best on the planet...only overshadowed because of Sid but on any other team, he's the player the GM builds the roster around.

Yep, agreed. Sadly a lot of moronic idiots in this city don't know what they have and want to run people out of town on a whim..
