Reading with some amusement that the Oilers are all-in on Holland being their GM. The thing is, it seems like Ken isn't that enthusiastic.

It'll be funny as fark if he tells Edmonton to PFO and that leaves them with their sloppy seconds of Kretzky, Hunter...they may tell Edmonton to take a hike too for having them be "fall-backs"...?

I never cheered the loss of a team that beat my team, always wanted to say we lost to the eventual cup winner. Maybe I'm silly like dat.

I agree. In this case, if I were a Pens fan I'd be thinking woah! how were we so bad we got swept by a team that was swept.

When the Rangers tanked to the Kings I felt like at least we lost to the champs.

Hard for me to say that after last year, losing to a team that went on to win by taking the heads off of players in every round on their way to winning. Losing to the Isles stung because Trotz made his team take cheapshots as well and play dirty because that's the only way he knows how to win. The Isles fans talked so much shit after they swept the Pens that it was pure karma watching those dbag fans get swept. Also I'm loving the Canes winning and being underdogs, its' a fun story

I'm no Islander fan and I can't disagree Trotz teams play dirty but there is no denying a sweep is conclusive, the losing team was outplayed.

Flyers picked up Therrien and Yeo as assistants today. I don't care if one was a friend...those fuckers are dead to me.

Nice pick up though....damn.

I need unbiased opinions on McAvoys hit last night. I dont think it was intent to injure but it also shouldve been more than a 2min penalty. No suspension

As a Leafs fan I'm suppose to hate the Bruins & ..but they play the way we should aim for if we plan on moving forward at all. Dubas is out to lunch if he thinks we're getting anywhere with just high end skill but no character or grit...

That Mcavoy hit last night sealed the fate for the Jackets, with of course Rask playing phenomenal. There definitely wasn't intent to injure but the head was the principal point of contact on a guy that was completely vulnerable. The right call was a 5 min/game which CBJ should of buried 1 goal easy the way they were pressing.

That hit was dirty and the call was wrong. I don't hate the Bruins like I dislike your beloved Cheats. It was a screwed up call...and had an impact on the game IMO.

Dirty Dirty Dirty, Hit to the head. Left his feet, stuck his elbow out, makes contact with the head. Dirty

Should have been at least a 5 minute major, the fact that the call was made on Vegas for a crosscheck for 5 minutes where this was an actual headshot is a joke

For the record, I hate the BJ's, but to say there was no intent to injure on that hit is laughable

Exactly. Look at how that major completely changed things for the Knights? If the Jackets were awarded a full major penalty...it's plausible they could've lit the Bruins up.

The loudest hockey game I have ever been too. The only thing louder I have ever experienced for a sporting event was the Big10 Championship game PSU vs Wisconsin and Penn State home football games with 100k people. For as it was and there being just under 20k people it was very impressive and a really cool experience.

Correct call would have been 5 and game with no suspension. Didn't look intentional and that coupled with not being a repeat offender that I am aware of is why no suspension vote but a hit to the head is a hit to the head so he should have been gone from the game.

If the refs wanted to be conservative and not completely remove him from the game then 2 and 10 misconduct at the minimum.

As any armchair GM can attest, will trumps skill come playoff time. He's going to have his hands full pulling miracles this offseason to improve his team next year after extending Marner. If I'm a betting man, wager for a potential backslide in the Shanaplan.
