Hope Captain Serious comes back soon...the team is not the same without him.

Battle of the backups tonight...too bad Big Hoss' goal did not count. Entertaining despite the very low score between Rangers and Hawks.

FWIW, I'm not the one to scream foul too much but the GWG should never have happened as your Rangers had too-many-men. I think you know they got away with one.

Antti Raanta Gets A 3rd Consecutive Start, Lundqvist "Officially" Benched

Alain Vigneault has decided that benching one of the greatest goalies in franchise history to ride out Antti Raanta's hot play will help the team win tonight against New Jersey.

Pens have scored 35 goals in their last 6 games

Another TD and extra point last night against the yotes

Another fun game to be at, and very entertaining hockey, just hope they're not peaking too early.

The more I think about it, the less I actually like going to hockey games here, and prefer watching them on TV.

No need to search for overpriced parking. No need to freeze. No need to stand in lines. No need to buy $12.00 beers (no joke). No need to sit on one end of the rink while action happens on the other. No need to buy over priced seat tickets. No need to sit in a cramped chair, etc...

At home, I have all the room I need, I have color commentary, I have plenty of cheap beer, I have plenty of food, I never miss a minute of action, and if I do, I just rewind or pause the game. Friends can just swing by, and best of all, I don't have to dish out $750 for some fun with one other person.

Justify it however you want, there's nothing like hockey in person

I've had season tickets for 18 years and I love going to the games

Personally, I prefer having commentary and every time I'm at a game, I can't help but think it'd be nicer being anywhere else but there.

Save for playoff games. But that's a totally different realm for which I can't even fathom, since 2006.

Congrats on the win but that bar is pretty low against the dogs. They truly embody poor planning and team building. (I live here so see what they do on a daily basis)

I dare say they are the worst managed franchise in the history of sports.

Hopefully I did not just jinx my trip to the whateverthef00k it's called this year arena on the 29th.

How's that? I watch away games at home on an 80" screen, with a full stocked beer fridge. I don't see what I'm comparing. I said nothing beats seeing it live in person, that's all I said I've been going to live hockey games my whole life. I also go to tons of concerts because nothing beats live music for me

Obviously, I never said that the Yotes were a tough team, I said it was a fun game to be at with the Pens scoring 7 goals

They've scored 35 goals in their last 6 games, it's just nice to see high scoring games in this day and age. They scored 8 the other night, and "slumped" the other night by only scoring 4. It's just a fun time to watch hockey with the team clicking on all cylinders. Like I said, I'm just hoping they don't peak too early like the craps did last year.

Taco, it depends on the arena and seats. I love going to live games when given the opportunity and if I'm buying seats, always pick something that is towards the middle part of the rink -- never at the ends. I agree, sitting near one of the goals is not great.

In regards to catching commentary, I've brought a small AM radio with me in the past to tune in and it works pretty good as there's no lag.

The old Rexall was a dump. The new Rogers Arena...is not from what I've seen, heard and read. It's actually...of all things in Edmonton...WORLD CLASS for once. Not half-baked like everything else that city seems to implement more often than not. So, while I had "hated" on hearing about the citizens paying for Katz's new toy...at least he seems to have spent the money right in building an arena worthy of McDavid.

Unless its at a Sens game in which case sitting by the Sens goal you'll be watching the opposing team up close
for most of the night!
