I have a feeling the habs will clamp down real hard here sunday night and win by multiple goals.. But what a great series so far

Just as the Sens are in control of their destiny. And they are arguably better
prepared than the Habs .. Sens have been playing "do or die" elimination
hockey for the past 2 months ... this is nothing new... and they keep "do"ing ...

had this discussion yesterday with someone on my FB (he's a Canucks fan, me? not really even though I live in Vancouver now... if none of the teams I like are out of the playoffs, then whatever... anyways...) he thinks the pressure is now on the Flames, where as I think it's still on the Canucks since the next game is still do-or-die regardless of where it's being played... Where as he thinks that the "nobody wants to go to a game 7 especially if it's going to be in the other team's home ice...". I see his point, but the way I see it is... the Flames can still afford a loss, and still go on to win in Vancouver (yes, the can because they did it in game 1 lol)

what are you guys' thoughts on this, who's got more pressure for game 6?

I saw yesterday as must win for both teams as if the Rangers lost, they had to win in Pit or lose 2 in a row & really have to win at home. Seeing as they had come back from 3-0 last year Pit would have had huge gonna do it to return the humiliation momentum going.

I feel kill 'em when you can or end up dying is real.

Equal. And a very cliche/analyzed discussion. Both teams have equal motivation...1 does not want to be eliminated and so, is desperate to force a 7th game. The other wants to clinch and does NOT want to play a 7th game where anything can happen.

So, to me...equal pressure.

What a comeback by the Hawks.

But, they need to be better against their next opponents.

The Hawks would match up better against the Blues because they are a slower team (which the Norf Stars have exposed). The Norf Stars' defensive scheme and fast counter will be reminiscent of Chicago's series against the Preds...albeit, Minny is a much deeper/complete team. They will give Chicago lots of trouble with that fast forecheck.

I do not believe Chicago will have the luxury of playing the Minny without their #1 d-man like what happened to the Preds when they lost Weber.

But, that's looking ahead. Let's see what the Blues do next game...otherwise, it will indeed be Minny/Chicago.

I think the Flames have not won in Anaheim since the Leaves won a Cup.

So, naturally, I'll take them in 6 over the Ducks.

Just kidding. I think Calgary's Cinderella story ends in Round 2. Ducks look good.

I just double-checked with the Azine Cray Supercomputer (otherwise known as Black Label) and you are NOT on record predicting a 1st round advance for Hockeytown.

But you did say this...

well looks like my habs have the sens.. great. patches is hurt and we get matched up against the hottest team in the league.. gonna be a tough task but I can't see hammond outplaying price..
So perhaps the Habs aren't being outplayed by Hamburglar, but did you predict Anderson would/could outplay Price?

The only prediction you made was for a Habs/Hawks finals.

Apparently there was more on the line than a trip to the second round in the Chicago/Nashville series.

Oh, the irony. The last 3 teams he turned journeyman for are out of the playoffs and his former Flame is still burning hot. Its better than a melodrama.

Babs should take note, the grass ain't always greener.

The Calgary Vancouver series was pretty great. Watching the game yesterday I was thinking "how the hell did Calgary lose this game, only ten minutes in?!"

And then wow, what a finish. Sadly, I don't think Calgary will beat Anaheim. Calgary has the grit and team work, but they don't have the ultimate skill Anaheim does.

@ Game 8.

Can we just give Stanley to the Blacks and be done with it? We all know that's where it's going anyway.
