What's sad about this playoffs is that I can't enjoy a nice series...come into this thread to talk about it...

Instead, I get two of the biggest loud-mouthed fans who are trying to one-up each other in annoying the rest of the hockey fans...

Good thing I'm more or less used to Moog's antics. I think. But, putting words into my mouth...that takes a new one.

I don't think between black label and I...or even in the 2009 playoff run for the Hawks was there one annoying .gif...broad-stroke-over-exaggeration statement.

I know the Kings will be good for a long time...but, if this is every playoff? I'm banning Moog from this thread? Votes?

2003: Grant Fuhr

2011: Ed Belfour

...you are correct, it's a pretty strong indicator.
In the Jennings era, it's gonna be hard to get in the HOF without winning one.

Sour grapes

I think you might be able to count on one hand the amount of times I have quoted or responded in kind to crazy cabbie during this playoff run.

I tend to ignore his nonsense.

...but he does make me

What have I learned the last couple of weeks? Okay...let's see:

- Jennings Trophy is a mark of greatness for a goalie. Awesome, Ray Emery, Brian Elliot, Jaro Halak, Roman Turek, and others should get a HoF call soon for winning it.
- 33 give-aways equates to Quick making 33 high-light-reel saves. Sports Center is of the hate for not showing all 33 amazing hadouken-type saves in their Highlight of the Night segment.
- Good enough = crap.
- Pointing out contradictions or defending yourself equals to sour grapes.

Have I got it? I'm learning so much in here. The TL forums got nothing on this. Nothing.

That signing of Beachball sure was a good one by Deano!

Well, as , I sink to the level I'm fighting.

And FWIW, the fact I'm still participating in this means this is more amusing than arguing with my fave person about reposts or posting in the appropriately-titled thread.

Beachball sucks because he never won the Jennings. Duh.

Says your delusions.

Jennings may not always indicate BEST goalie in the League which is the Vezina. Jennings is usually attributed to a team with great team defense.

Sum of the whole? Which is what I've always been saying...good defense, timely saves...equals to great team? Kings signify it right now?

But, sorry...I MEAN, ALL CREDIT OMG MUST GO TO QUICK...THE ALMIGHTY BESTEST GOALIE ON THE PLANET.

Sorry, was that sour grapes? I'm still learning here.

Seriously, I don't get what's so hard to believe here. This is NOT a discredit to Quick (so, simmer down, Moog? Please?)...but, the Kings would be in the Finals if they had any GOOD ENOUGH goalie this season. Quick isn't stealing games. Their depth, forecheck, and sick timely scoring is what's doing it.

Is that so impossible to believe? I do not worship Scotty Bowman but I have to believe a man who has won so much in the League when he says a team can win it all with a GOOD ENOUGH goalie...it is more important to have a great blueline. Chicago's following that formula...did it twice? Probably has a good shot to continue to contend?

Oh right...I'm always wrong. So, is Bowman. If Moog had a discussion with Bowman, man...that old man would be PUT IN HIS PLACE!
