What stupid bowl game matchups.
I understand UF vs UC since theres a storyline with urban meyer playing ball there
but really whats up with bsu tcu facing off? shoulda went like this

Texas Bama
TCU Iowa
BSU GT
Florida UC

Ratings will be off the charts for TCU-Boise

I'm looking forward to that matchup more than any other

I agree; but they (BCS) are trying to minimize the negative impact that having 5 undefeated teams is going to have. If Texas/Bama is close. TCU/BSU blown one or the other out of the water and UC destroys Florida, things could pretty crazy in the end at the top. Possible 3 teams receiving 1st place votes at the end of the season?? Unpossible!

well, it's a little different with pros, imo.

obviously, in most circumstances, you don't have a choice with the team you're drafted into. and if you're a free agent, you still may want to sign for a crappy team if they're willing to pay you lots of money.

but i agree with the first point. and it's not like all nfl players come from big time programs. and the chance to still play for a winning team and in a bcs bowl game is still an honor.

i think the fiesta bowl wants to hype up the winner of TCU/BSU is the co-champion.

and like hdcolumbus said, if all the undefeateds are still undefeated, then that's too much chaos (in brent musberger voice)

It probably makes me a bad person, but I loved watching Tebow cry on Saturday. I hope they saved some to give to the Susan G. Kommen Foundation.

I think the match-ups are relatively decent.
TCU definitely has an argument to be in the NC game.
IMO, Cincy is better than Boise State and has a legitimate argument for #2 if/when they beat Florida
Ohio State - Oregon is going to be a pretty darn good game. GO BUCKS!!
Really the only one that could be a snore is GT - Iowa

Im gonna go ahead and say:

UF/Cincy - Florida +17 (dont think Cincy can hang in there and its Tebow's last game.. he's gonna come to play)

TCU/Boise - TCU by about a TD

Oregon/OSU - Oregon in a nail-biter. (hope to see some creative uniforms lol)

GT/Iowa - ? but I hope Tech brings it home to ATL

Texas/Alabama - ROLL FUCKING TIDE!!!

Oh and i really hope Georgia doesnt lose to freaking Texas A&M or im gonna personally go and send send Joe Cox home!!

I can see most of the SEC winning its bowl games. I really only have doubts on UGA because of the coachin staff issue and UT, but if they play like they did against us and bama then theyll definately whoop some ass.

For the BCS games
Texas Vs Bama - Bama by 2 TD
GT vs Iowa - GT, though I really dont care
Oregon vs OSU - OSU but man oregon looks amazing sometimes
BSU vs TCU - TCU by a landslide
Florida vs Cinci- Lets just say scottsman will be having a sex change itll be such a ass kicking

I think Florida loses this game vs Cinci, not because of talent, but because of the mental state they are in. You see it year in, year out, a heartbreaking loss in a big game and the teams never recover. Everyone on Florida had one goal in mind, Championship. I believe that Florida will break down now and Cinci will end up winning.

I like Texas but have to admit I was pulling for TCU. They just put an ass-whooping on all their opponents. Nebraska came to play. Bottom line is Texas and Alabama both had to win out their conferences AND play an extra league championship game so you gotta give props to both of them

Him on the sidelines at the end of the game was priceless.

For the BCS games
Texas Vs Bama - Bama by 6
GT vs Iowa - Tech by 7
Oregon vs OSU - Ducks in a nailbiter
BSU vs TCU - I think this game will be closer than people expect. TCU by 6
Florida vs Cinci- Gators by 10

even after the emotional loss we have time to regroup. and since its meyers alma mater i think itll be a good game. plus they have no defense, so our offense will look decent

Roll Tide Roll and Go Dawgs!!
Is it skill or luck that Alabama hasn't had a holding call called on them in the past 5-6 games Go watch bama's OL and tell me they don't hold. Not saying that is the difference in the game, but the refs have been all for bama this year.

Well Brantley is off the radar and he may be better for Florida than Tebow who can't read real defenses.

Brantley is a true pocket passer with a fantastic arm and can make the reads much better than Tebow. Also Brantley runs a 4.58

I was actually talking about Dunlap in that case..

but to me, yeah Brantley will be a better pocket QB.. but Teblow was an all around threat to the defense. he does that 'one-step' thing almost every play and you never know when he's gonna throw a pass, run, or do a quick option pitch. not to mention that fucker was hard to take down too!! you basically dont know how to guard him.

as much as i hate the guy.. i have to give him credit!

IMO they are slow playing him right now.. although I don't think Meyer will go I think they will try to talk to him. If ND doesn't get Kelly they may end up with UCONN's coach Randy Edsall.

From what I hear we'll have an answer by tonight at/after the players banquet. I think they'll overpay just to get him.

Kelly has been successful at every school he's coached at. I don't expect him to bring ND back to MNC contenders, but they will be a good team. I'm just interested in how well he is going to recruit and if ND will reduce the academic requirements.

I don't get why he didn't hold out for a better job where he would have a chance at a national championship...although I guess UC was pressuring him to try and lock him up long term.

He's inheriting a bunch of garbage up there, but I think he'll bring them back to respectable levels.

I'm curious as to what happens with UC now...if they'll remain at/around this level or permanently drop back into obscurity

Doubt that will ever happen

I think Kelly just did it with good coaching and the fact that the players liked him and liked playing for him and his staff.

I'm happy for him though...I haven't been excited about a college football team around here in a long time, so big thanks to him and I don't blame him for moving up...just sad

Hopefully they hire somebody within to take over.
