TCU played great too. Too bad that Texas won't lose another game and the winner of Bama-Florida will join them in the title game. At least TCU will get a BCS bowl game.

happy that fsu will most likely be bowl eligible, didnt wana see that man possibly go out on a losing season. Props to the cawks for keeping the game close. there were a few plays that should of happened for us but didnt. story of our lives.

Im real nervous about the bama game honestly, they look amazing, as does texas

Thanks, I figured it out last night after I asked

A backup that is better than Sanzi (most interceptions thrown in the NCAA)

Stanzi does throw a lot of INTs.

If Vandenberg doesn't play, how is he going to throw any?

sad that tcu wont get the nod to the bcs nc. even with my team on top i can still say that they are pretty deserving of a shot at it too. i think this season with all the undefeated teams there will be alot of talk of going to a playoff game. i see 2-3 teams going undefeated this season.

i was kinna sad to see southern cal lose... i was hoping we'd get to play them in a bowl game and put the big 10 - SEC debate to rest for this decade.

i guess herbstreet is kicking his own ass for building them up again all season and it finally fell through.

congrats Alabama, Florida, TCU, Cinci and Boise.. all teams i like to see win (unless they're playing us of course)

Huge game by Gerhart and Luck. Cardinal O-line came up huge. Now we just gotta finish off the Irish and Cal and hopefully meet up with the Buckeyes on January 1st

It's so nice to have a winning football team after years of mediocrity.

Either Stanford is really really good, or the Pac10 is that much of a joke. I guess we will see in a bowl game?

I totally agree. Having not been to a bowl game in 8 years, I'm just happy we got to 6 wins this season. Beating Oregon and USC was a mild surprise and the margin of victory was definitely unexpected. Overall, I'm happy to have a Pac-10 champion that isn't USC and hopefully schools like Oregon, Arizona, Cal and Stanford can carry the banner.

So I heard from friends that we are predicted to go against USC or Arizona (if we beat Maryland and get into a bowl game). This should be fun.

From one of the CFB forums I'm part of a Florida fan said Meyer's wife loves living in Gainesville. The kids are in great schools, and they won't want to move. The only way I see Meyer going is if ND offers a ridiculous contract ($50 million for 10 years with a lot of incentives).

From a respected columnist on another site

I ran into Shelley Meyer and laughingly mentioned the latest ... that Urban will go to Notre Dame if she signs off on it.

Her response: "When are they going to let that die? We aren't going anywhere. Don't people understand that we are really happy here? Why would we leave? We have everything here and the way recruiting is going ... really, why would we leave? We won't. We're here for a long time."

In the course of the five-minutes we talked she also offered this up, which I thought was appropriate and interesting: "It makes you wonder who starts all these rumors and why do they always happen when we're recruiting? Makes you wonder about the timing, doesn't it?"

We're going to hear plenty more Urban to Notre Dame stuff in the next two weeks, but I trust what Shelley says. She offered one more reason which makes me trust her.

"What's it? 80 degrees here and the sun is shining? Does anyone really think we want to leave this for the cold and the snow?"
