So what's the difference between Home Depot and Liberty Mutual's Coach of the Year Awards?

I'm surprised the UF bhoys aren't in here. Congrats. Also, if I could get an answer, as I am still confused, to the question 2 posts above . Thanks.

Colin Cowherd is my LEAST favorite sports radio personality (if you can call him that) on any station.
He's an obnoxious, pompous, know-it-all jackass that I would love to choke the shit out of.

Sorry for the rant, but I really can't stand that guy. I used to listen to his show and he said something really stupid that pissed me off on a daily basis.

gsi, why do you think he has the best show???

I didn't read much into the religious thing, I mean we deal with Ray Lewis here in MD so everyone else looks like pagans compared to Ray-ray.

I don't see anything wrong with it, but it was annoying how he mentioned god 7-8 times in his 2 minutes speech. We got the point he loves god the first 3 times he said it, no need to say it 5 more times.

I know he was probably nervous and excited for winning, so that he probably didn't realize it. It is just the point was made way before he even received the trophy. They did that special on him, which got the point across already.

Wow that is how my wife describes me. No wonder she does not like me.

Back to your question. I think that his conversations on sports and life are spot on and his pompous and know it all attitude make the show a little more edgy. I mean anyone can do a sports show and agree with all the callers (e.g. Mike Tirico) but he takes his stand and he may not be right all the time but gets pretty close.
If you listen though some of his shows you will see that some of his broadcasts are more like motivational speeches than sports talk.

i put together one really fast, and joined the group.

Although i put the teams I want to win, more than the teams I think are going to win. and put the games I care about towards the top, so I have even more reason to care about the game, even if i'm not too sure about the outcome .

So did everyone hear about the scandal at FSU? There were twenty something players caught in some cheating scandal and got suspended for the bowl game and I think some into next season. Florida State Criminoles living up their names, yet again.

Yup heard about that. It's going to be a long 3 years for Bowden.. He'll be bought out after next year. He is doing nothing good for FSU football right now.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. He is still a legend and gets recruits to come simply by his name and aura he has about him. He doesn't really do any of the coaching or anything, but still does something for the program by just being there. I'm glad Jimbo decided to stick it out and wait until Bobby is gone and then he'll be head coach.

....and 3 years? I thought he just signed a one year contract extension?

He signed a 1 year extension, but Fisher was set to take over in 3 years.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida State must pay offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher $2.5 million if he isn't hired to replace Bobby Bowden as head coach in three years, but Fisher would have to pay an equal amount to leave before then.
Bowden signed a 1 year extension, and said he will continue to do so as long as he feels like coaching. So he is pretty much there for 3 years unless he steps down.

FSU hasn't done anything the past couple of years, and I credit that to their HC. He may get his criminole recruits, but that doesn't work anymore. He needs to step down, and let Fisher take over
