I'm in Cary but pretty short on free time this summer

If you don't mind me asking, why do you want to paint your HID ring green if your car is AM? I don't think that will flow very well

Ah gotcha.. Well today i just painted my brake calipers green and i had been planning to do green halos eventually since i haven't seen many tls with halos, let alone green ones.. but planned on having them professionally done.. i like the way the green calipers look i think its different and kind of a subtle change and i think the HID ring would complement the calipers well...

I'll keep it until when I was planning on getting a new car. I would've only moved that up if it was totaled, but of course it's not .

Tommy, just from personal experience, I would fix what you have before you change anything that works just fine. Look into having those wheels fixed and look into adding the front A-Spec lip once you save up some money.

I'm not trying to sound like a dick, I just don't want you to make the same mistakes I made when I got my TL almost 5 years ago. You can ask all of the guys here how horrendous my TL looked when I didn't plan anything out

constructive criticism is always good! Thanks for the tip... I'm probably not going to mess with the headlights for a while, my dad probably would hang me so ill save that for a future endeavor... But i did just pickup a pair of depo smoked black taillights on the black market for a great price so Im looking forward to installing those this weekend hopefully! Just need to find somewhere selling some rear type s side markers

Also i have an appointment scheduled to get the USA spec module and a jl audio w7 put in on Thursday and eventually getting my windows tinted.. I've been checking Craigslist everyday for oem rims to pop up or fora good deal on some aftermarkets so I would avoid having to get these repaired... I love the way the aspec kit looks I just don't know if it will be feasible for this college kids budget at this point... Maybe for Christmas if I pay for half and talk my parents into paying for half

I'm a college kid as well so I understand the budget constraints

The headlights aren't hard, just time consuming. Acura didn't make it easy for us to modify ANYTHING on this car so you've just gotta dedicate a full day for anything like headlights or suspension.

Have your audio shop tap into the RCA wire for the stock sub so you can independently control your W7 from the stock headunit. I totally removed my stock sub when I added my aftermarket sub. If you have money for a W7, you have money for the A-Spec kit

All in good time though! Don't rush anything. Just plan it out step by step and only buy things when you need them or when you get a really good deal. 90% of the parts on my car were purchased used.

Haha thanks for all the good advice!

Yeah thats what they're going to do when i have it installed i think... is it better to take the stock sub out or leave it in? does it matter? And the w7 i got for steal of the century and couldn't pass up on it, i think i bought it about 3 months ago and its just been sitting in my closet waiting until i got a car to install it in.. Got it brand new from a JL licensed dealer for almost half the cost that it would normally be. i cant wait to compare it to the 2 10" w6s i had previously!

used parts seem to be the way to go!

i love your WDP looks mint!

guess who i saw coming home from the beach yesterday ....

plus i got my new wheels in.... do werk son!! lol

and to the new guy, welcome as i haven't seen you on here. and wish i could help you with those headlight but haven't done them. you need to drop it, a spec it, then put zoomy and let the hater hate lol.

but on a side note, you college guys need to work on your budgeting/work status. (currently still in college) but when i starting the car game at 19, i had to support my wife, her school, my school, my car payment, insurance, phone, utilitys, and my dirty habits of building race cars. don't be intimidated with cars parts as they will come in. i was more worried about my wife finding out i am buying a 700$ power fc, or 700$ coilovers then actually paying for the parts.

advice is couponing, i save over like 70-100$ a week on couponing.

I have yet to see the Lexus in all it's hilighter glory. I completely understand about modding your car and having your father gripe lol. When I had my 06 accord we shared my car and I wanted to modify it soooooooooo bad. I started with headlights and my reasoning/excuse to my dad for getting them was because the 6k projectors and better than the crappy halogens. Next I got wheels which he didn't mind and then some neuspeed racing springs. I had to make an excuse that I got the for a trade from this guy named eddy who drives the midnight blue accord. Eric knows who I'm talking about. My dad would say why can't you just leave the car alone lolol.

Eric I would love Donny's right now but it's dollar slice dollar beer at Carmella's tonight or every Tuesday.

And I've settled on a color for the car and its gonna be painted in August. It's gonna be midori green.

Max..haha!..we were headed to the lego store on 485. That's awesome you saw us. What beach were you at? And I know you're excited to get those wheels on the car.

Bryan..camellas! I am sad the carmel location closed. It was so close to me and I miss it. I would hit up dollar beer and slice night every week. Midori green will look good. Looking forward to seeing it in august.

Nice. Tell her congrats. I love cruising the strip at myrtle haha. I will be down that way soon.

That's always the thing with buying new wheels. Usually you need new tires too. I'm running 255/30/19s. I can't wait to see your TL with the new look.

Yeah i'm going to echm. You thinking about going?!
