Rewashing the car before IA is basically inevitable with all the driving and the late spring we have had with the pollen. I always take a bucket and car wash supplies with me. There is a selfwash we go to. Just bring two fives for quarters and you will be good. It sucks but it is what it is.

Might have to do that
And Im pissed because the big part I was waiting for won't be here in time for IA. I ordered it on the 4th, I was told by the vendor that I would have it in 5 days or so. I shouldve had it by Friday at the latest. I kept asking for a tracking number so I could be home when it gets here, but never got a response. I contacted the company that makes it directly and asked if it shipped yet, and its still in the queue. Im not thrilled about that what so ever since the two-three weeks following IA are going to be pretty difficult for me to find the time to install it.

New mod that I have had since Christmas finally installed on the Lexus. Wasn't a hard project other than the fact I am a perfectionist.
Also found out we are now down one ride from our caravan unfortunately.

Was it an interior piece Jason? I thought I remembered you mentioning it a while back.
And who dropped? I still feel bad I'm not going

I may be MIA for this weekends events, ever since I bought my wheels, one has never seated and sealed the tire on the bead. Discount tire sprayed some sealant and that fixed it until I rotated tires and that one became a front turning wheel and it broke the seal as I turned. After talking to some ppl they said it may be a damaged tire from installation so I got a new one and yesterday had it mounted and balanced and same thing. They said the wheel must have some low spots where air is massively leaking out. So now I'm trying to find a shop to sand down to even out the lip by the weekend. I emailed 4 places but if anyone has somewhere to recommend in Charlotte area please let me know thanks

eurowise cleaned the rim (which tire kingdom should have done) and put the old tire back on and it sealed perfectly. i had them write up a statement so i can show tire kingdom tomorrow what happened when dumbasses dont know what they are doing. anyhow if they dont refund the tire i will be seeing them in small claims court, i never signed anything saying that they arent liable for outside sourced tires so everything should work out for me.
thanks for the recommendation

Yeah, I wasn't too pleased with Tire Kingdom's customer service years ago (the one on South). I always tell people never to go there. The Discount Tire on South never gave me any issues, though. Several people I recommended go there were pleased, too.

DLntheCl - what size rim/tire are you trying to mount? i know some brands of tires don't stretch well compare to other.
also i can agree that tire kingdom services are really awful, had a friend who needed to get 1 tire dismounted since it was leaking air, and mount another tire he had. took them almost like an hour to do that. plus there tech don't seem to bright either.
discount tires has always been good to me, even when they messed up on my wheel, they tried there best to fix it as best as they can. they have given me a free tire ( wasnt nothing fancy just enough to get me on the road). also service a few wheel problem i had from leaking valve stem to patching up some tires.

they called me about an hour later letting me know those fucks at tire kingdom destroyed my brand new tire. number one they never cleaned off the old sealant on the wheel that was gooped on, they just mounted the new tire on the rim, when it wouldnt seat they just added more sealant and over 80 psi to try to get the tire to seal, well doing that caused 2 huge rips that eurowise found when they dismounted the tire.
eurowise cleaned the rim (which tire kingdom should have done) and put the old tire back on and it sealed perfectly. i had them write up a statement so i can show tire kingdom tomorrow what happened when dumbasses dont know what they are doing. anyhow if they dont refund the tire i will be seeing them in small claims court, i never signed anything saying that they arent liable for outside sourced tires so everything should work out for me.

I will third the discount tire recommendations. Their service has been nothing but the best for me at the one in Mooresville. They have gone way above required service many times I have used them.

well my problem now with discount tire is today(i went there before eurowise) i was 'helped' by some old guy who i havent seen before, he said that no way can he mount the tire on to the wheel for my vehicle because the tire i chose (nankangs) dont meet the load index rating of my car (he looked up all of this info) and also mentioned they dont do stretched tires even though his coworker said yes we do, we just did a set last week. i proceeded to tell him that just last november yall installed these very tires on these same wheels on this same vehicle and never had an issue. and not only that but before this set, i was running 205/40s on 9 inch wide wheels, nankangs again, on same car, and yall mounted and balanced those wheels as well. the younger guy who i always deal with was in the background rolling his eyes at the old guy, i could tell he felt sorry for me cus they lost business and i know he would have done the work if i was dealing with him and not the old guy
im running nankang ns2 215/35s on 19x9s, they stretch very well
the only reason i went to tire kingdom is cus discount tire was closed on sunday and i was anxious to get them on. oh and get this, tire kingdom lost my chrome valve stem cap so before i left i said hey i need a new one, he hands me a black plastic cap, i said umm no, i need a chrome one, the freakin idiot goes in the shop and comes back this time with a gray plastic cap. what the hell, you gotta be kidding me man! is this a joke! then several minutes later he finally finds a chrome one. its amazing how some places stay in business i swear

Yeah it is sad how lack some of the automotive shops you can find are. It always scares me when I have to find new places to get work done. Still trying to build up a list of shops I trust in the area and I have been here over 2 years now. I have all I could need back in PA but starting over down here now.

Yea I understand how discount tires roll. It just the legality they are involve with when u put the wrong size tire on the rim. My discount tire will mount my stretch tires but won't put the rims on my car. I don't mind that even though mine aren't that stretch. (235/40 on an 9.5wide wheel. Had 225/40 but didn't like the look and want to stay close to stock tire height. )
