Yeah I might just stay at 35% to be on the safe side. Knowing my luck I'm sure I'll get pulled over if I go lower than the legal limit.

tokico blues installed on 240sx today. another night and day improvement since existing kyb agx's were blown..

and i just fell in love with mazda3. family's pilot got in a small parking lot accident and getting its getting fixed at the body shop for next 4days. but no one in the family wanted to drive a rental so i rented it in my name and got a mazda3 to beat around few days.

this little thing is comfy, precise, nimble, and very solid. it drives much better than the civic for sure. no wonder they are constantly being raved as a poor man's bimmer 3series.

Painters tape over the window switches as soon as they are done.

lecar puts this neon green sticker that says to not open your windows over your master switch and lock your pass. windows for you but it'll be good to double check though.

Yeah I just got back, and he did put that green sticker on. He did a pretty great job, and I paid $185 for it. I got the 35% because he told me he had been getting a lot of people in lately wanting him to re-do the tint since they were ticketed for having too dark of tint... Knowing my luck I was probably next on the list...

Anyways, funny thing is this guy comes into the store and says he's getting evicted from his apartment if he doesn't come up with another $30 for rent money--that he was wondering if the shop owner would pay him to scrub toilets or sweep the shop floor or anything. The owner didn't say anything, just gave him some money, then the other guy quick shoved it in his pocket and left.

I was like "eehh... you got swindled..."

Well my CL's headlights aren't very bright. I doubt I'd try to get anything brighter at least until I see how my headlights look cleared (they're cloudy as hell when I had them turned on in the wee hours of the morning.)

2G CL should have HID headlights already..unless you were talking about trying to get them for your roadlamps to make them fogs...

Headlights are dim...does that mean they are pinkish cuz if they are then you need new bulbs. If the lens is cloudy then wetsand and polish to clear them up. That's what I did to mine but to get rid of pits to make them look new and they do

Anyone have a scanner that can read VSA/ABS codes? My VSA, ABS and ! (VSA Warning) lights are on and I'm pretty sure it's a speed sensor but I wanna make sure and know which one is causing my probs...
Thanks!

Nope..not VSA/ABS. Went to them already and failed. Zone doesn't read them either.

I just don't wanna pay diagnostic rate for some dipshit service writer to tell me what I already know and charge me for an hour when it takes like 10 minutes. And I don't have the time to run to a family friend's shop to get them read anytime soon

But do I wetsand them from the outside or do I have to get in their and fish out the headlight lens and go at it from the inside? I've seen plenty of DIYs that say to take them out and put them in an oven...

Feel the outside of the lens. If it's rough then the cloudiness is on the outside. Mine felt pretty gross with all the little pits from rocks. But now the lens is baby butt smooth and clear as glass. If it's relatively smooth, then you my friend have condensation which will require opening them to clean them then resealing them well to avoid further condensation. If this is the case, then may as well black them out and clear the corners while they're open.

I have a scan gauge that pulls codes via the OBDII, dont know if that will help ya with ABS codes though.

Nope..hand-held OBD II scanners only pull engine DTCs..not ABS. I need a beefy on-board diagnostic scanner I guess. But that means paying for someone to do it or missing class for a day to go down to Mt. Angel to our family friend's shop to get the hook up.

The weird part about my whole problem is that it'll go away and come back so I'm thinking it may just be a bad connection? Or maybe it got wet..it started happening a few weeks back when we got some snow but now the lights will stay on for a long time whereas before they would go away after turning the car off. Now they'll stay on and only sometimes go off but then they'll come back on. It's pretty weird.

The scariest part is driving with no ABS in the rain with crappy OR drivers and very very low tread tires... Had a guy pull a u-ie in front of me on a pretty busy road and I had to slam on my brakes. Tires locked up and I ended up drifting a little..pretty scary shit. And of course..no cops in sight

PFFF my Truck doesnt have ABS. Shit is just a crutch.

Id say look over all your connections and make sure everything is tight/clean before paying for someone to plug into your car.

Holy balls, i was sitting at Sunny Side Rd. after getting off 205 just 30min or so ago, and a WDP Type S that was absolutely dumped goes driving by me. Back wheels had a huge looking lip, but the right front had a spare donut on it.

When i say dumped...i mean it looked as low, if not lower than i was.

LOL..wouldn't be so worried about it if I had meaty treads like the truck. But my tires are bald so I slip and slide everywhere. And hydroplane pretty easily. I hit puddles all the time that I should just cut through but they always make me slide a little. And can't even accelerate too quickly at freeway speeds on the new pavement in wilsonville I5 in good rain cuz my tires just won't stay glued. But I'm just waiting for some springtime weather to get here to get the new shoes on and leave that problem behind me.

The truck doesn't have ABS?? I thought it was pretty much standard now on all newer cars for all the safety reasons.. Guess I was wrong

Yeah I felt the outside, it felt a bit scummy, but not nearly as bad as I would have thought it would have felt, with the lens being as cloudy as it looks.

I guess I'll check my lights again tomorrow morning. Maybe it wasn't as bad as it I remember..
