So THAT'S what 35% tint looks like. Vry nice, I think I'll get that when I get my windows tinted.

they are little too light. i rather get 30% if the shop your going to carries it. or 35% carbon is pretty good too.

For your tint, go to to Auto Superb in Beaverton. They did a kick ass job on my TL and my buddy, who now owns the place, got trained and worked for Alexia for some time. Check it out for sure
I just think they look cool. I really hate those overly flashy rims with spokes that look like the design was taken straight from a bike. I just wanted something cool, but just not over the top. I didn't like those Inspyres...

I'm actually gonna check out a place less than 10 miles from where I'm at. According to them, they do a majority of the tint jobs for all the dealers on McLoughlin Blvd.

@mink: but isn't 35% the lowest legal limit?

Your car, do what makes you happy! Don't change you mind cuz of what I say. :biggrin You don't like the Inspyres?!?! Man, I was lookin at those before I found my A-Specs. You prob don't like A-Specs either since they are pretty much the same rim with a few line/shapre differences. I'll agree with bonk tho...chrome doesn't look as good as a silver finish but for $500 for a brand new set of 19" rims, I'll take whatever they come as.

Yes, 35% is the darkest tint allowed in OR but I dunno of many who actually follow that. I just got mine tinted with 18% carbon and it looks darker than that cuz of my black interior. I'd prob do 22 or 25 next time to not attract so much attention but so far no probs with the po-pos :knockonwood:

its okay for fx to have wheel gaps since its suv

that looks low enough to still go over speed bumps and stuff.. i was thinking alittle higher then that would still be good though.. maybe a 1.25 drop..

that orange copper fx is lowered on eibach pro kit which is 1.2" drop and the actual owner stated that he's fx stayed in the garage when it snowed because the ride height wouldn't clear the snow.

this is before the drop

this is after

and this guy owns 2 fx silver one is '05 fx35 and copper one is '06 fx45

I called this Elite Window Tinting place, they quoted me at $239 for the whole car, and that's if I get the real pricey stuff.... which I think I might. Something about CS tint from 3M? It's this crystalline stuff, it's supposed to have a kind of a blue-ish kind of hue to it, which is supposed to look pretty nice on my ABP CL-S.

Not bad considering I got quoted at $500 from the dealer for the run-of-the-mill type of tint film. Still a little spendy, but I just got my crap bonus today, so all is good

Wait, it looks like the "CS" film he was talking about is Color-Stable... and the Crystalline tint is something else. Meh, I'll sort it out when I get it all tinted. It's all high quality stuff.

Well you gotta figure that my car is a real deep blue. That plus this other film apparently blocks much more heat and light than normal FX tint.... according to 3M's site.

Found myself a FabTech light bar on craigslist for super cheap. Gonna go pick that up today out in Beaverton...then probably head over to Speed to order HIDs. This all can go along with the Recovery Hitch and Strap i ordered yesterday

stillen strut bar came yesterday and i installed it right away. unlike most other people in fx forums that loves the stillen bar, i thought it was pretty crappy.

thickness of the mounting brackets and welding was very weak. actually bracket flexes a bit if i wiggle the bar with some force. think ebay strut bar i bought it for the 240sx is stronger anyways fx is done for now. maybe ur pulley kit later in the year.

now i'll be focusing on the 240sx. ordered brembo slotted rotors for the front and brembo blank rotors for the rear along with hawk hps pads all the way.
also just did engine oil, tranny oil (drain and fill), and transfer case oil change today. never thought of doing maintenance services to the 240sx until today and car runs and shifts much smoother
