^Saw a nice Milano Red 1G next to me on the freeway. Yep, I can see why they are hard to find, if you bought one new (didn't lease it), it's a good car to keep. Great mpgs, fun to drive, and still looks good too.
#6643
looks good Min.. if you dont want the side skirts and rear lip ill take them off your hand =)
wonder if its the same guy at my work?? was it slammed with tint and window visors??
#6644
Nope, lady driver, no tint. I never see the red TSX on the road, they are rare. I have seen a ton of Accord coupes in red though. I have a thing for red cars.
I had one of these:
It is still my personal favorite red car, even though the Accord was faster, quieter and more comfortable.

$8.80hr lol
Funny though I've only got 1 ticket (out of 10) with a red car, and that was just because I pulled a U-turn RIGHT in front of her.

$8.80/hr really Marco? You can do better!
So that thing is still 11K Min? My car is worth more than I thought, maybe I should consider selling... lol Desperately needs new end links though, clunking like a mother now. But I only have 72K with two minor scratches, full aspec, CT IHE, UR Pulleys, oh and 6spd PWP/Black, Navi, now that is rare :P
Waiting on a house deal though before I do any car stuff, like repairs or selling.

i would say you have a garage.. but in reality you dont haha.. but you do have a driveway and a dead end street which helps keep dirt from traffic going by from flying up on your car which i would think cut your car wash time in half compaired to me.. ive been known to wash my car in the rain just to make sure its clean for a dry day the next day

Congrats. It's good to know there are design jobs out there. Lets hope the gas prices don't move up any higher.

Just a quickie after work from atop the parking garage. No editing, straight out of the camera. And I still have never washed the car since I bought it. This color really does work for Oregon haha.

Thinking of selling my CL-S. Not because there's anything wrong with my car, I just want to get back into driving a manual. I know the basics of driving a manual, I just haven't had too much practice with it. Like 99% of my issue was the going from 0-10. Going from stopping to moving, not so much changing gears. At the time I couldn't get the hang of letting the clutch out + giving it gas, and NOT jerking the car around.
Sooooo... with that in mind, would it be a good idea to sell the CL, get maybe a junky manual Civic, drive that until I'm comfortable, then buy a much better 6-speed? Or would I be fine just going straight for a good 6 speed? Or maybe keep the CL, buy a 2nd car (cheapo something-or-other I got at a used car wholesale lot) then later on sell both cars and get a nice 6-speed anything? Any thoughts? And yeah fyi I don't know anyone who owns a manual, let alone anyone who owns one and is willing to let me practice with it.
Of course this is all just me thinking out loud. I may end up keeping my CL for awhile. I've had it about 3.5 years already.

An old junky civic is going to have a worn clutch disk, weakened pressure plate, and a failed clutch slave cylinder.... making it very odd/strange to drive, and certainly won't be conducive to perfecting the art of stick. I've owned my fair share of them second hand. Just buy a newer nice 6 speed Honda/Acura and enjoy that.
#6667
Yeah I just don't want to buy a newer car and beat up on it through the course of practicing. I mean if you guys think maybe a Honda or Toyota clutch will hold up....
#6669
Well I'm just a real worrywart when it comes to cars. I'd hate to get a nice 6MT Accord coupe or something and cause any extensive wear on a nice car as a result of it all. I mean, when it comes to practicing on a manual, is the clutch the only thing you really need to worry about wearing down?
OR.... think there's any possibility that I could go find a good manual at a rent-a-car place and get a good amount of practice in with that? I'm sure rental places might be a bit more on the ball with worn clutches and the like. Or would it be right to assume Enterprise would have nothing but autos?
Point is I got a nice bonus check from work, plus I'm standing to get a nice tax refund, and I was planning on putting almost all of that towards mods for the CL. However I'm starting to reconsider this now...

once you get the stop and go down its a breeze only thing after that is stopping on a hill and going.. its all about friction point.. when in doubt peel out!! haha
seriously though i learned stick by myself and what i did was hit up a small neighbor hood with alot of stop signs and just went from stop to go after about 20 minutes i felt comfortable enough to drive on the street and the rest was history

You can grind the gears on a manual, but again they are surprisingly resilient. Clutches are usually the first to go, but aren't super expensive to replace. You are really not going to hurt it learning. It takes literally about a day to learn it, then you just do it until its muscle memory.
I don't even think about engagement or shifting anymore, it just happens automatically.

Looks like the sky is going to dump buckets. I'm not leaving the building today. Good luck with that soccor game tonight!

we've done baths, showers, ice bags, etc...
The only thing that works is a shot of Tylenol, that will bring it down to normal for about 3 hours. Hoping that being 24 hours now it'll either take longer for him to climb up the temperature scale or the fever will just disappear all together.

Snow? Again? Carrie is on her way to Palm Springs right now. Hmm, really wish I was on vacation.
