Yes I was on my way to Gold's Matt. You'll usually see my car parked way out in front of the Proex, cause I don't like door dings. My buddy is usually parked right next to me in his Mazda6, with windows as black as the paint on my car!! lol

 

Right off Crooked Lake Blvd (back by the library). There's actually a handful of guys that live in CR and blaine. We should have a little meet sometime since we can all get there within 5-10 minutes.

Half and half. I know me and phantom are over 21 in the area. Blackura is under. Thought there was someone else around town too (may have been you) - but not sure. We've never met at a bar or anything, so it's never been an issue. Usually meet at my place if it's in town, or BW3's. If we go outside of the NW burbs, it's meet at Takata's, Josh's or the park.

 

Yeah just let me know when and where you want to meet up and i'll usually be there. BW3's sounds good to me we dont have to make a whole day out of it just meet up for lunch and visit for a while then head home.

Let me know - we can really do it anytime, but this upcoming weekend is out due to halloween, the vikes, and I'll probably be too drunk to go anywhere after about 11 friday night when I get off work, until Monday when i have to go back

 

No can do on the 7th, I'm heading down to Rochester to see the doc and hang with some friends.

 

Any idea when you were thinking you'd want to get together? I'm assuming you'd want to just meet sometime and get the drives without having to turn it into plans. Unless it's the weekend, that's the best way for me to do it.

So, the external drive that holds all of my movies died in the last few days (it took me a while to smell the rotting carcass of a HD), so I did what anyone would do, UPGRADE!! I just got back from MicroCenter where I picked up a WD MyBook 2TB mirrored external drive. This means that even if a drive dies in the future, I won't have to re-rip all of my movies.

Also, since I was there, I decided to pick up a new drive for the one that died, and in the spirit of upgrades, I went from a 500GB to a 1TB. Now I can attach that to my new Hackintosh and have a (semi-)portable hard drive.

Yay for upgrades!

PS - I'm just like you.. but I like shopping online vs in a brick and mortar store. I think I have 5 complete computers laying around my house.

 

Josh - think you'll be making it to either of the meets coming up? Let me know if you're still interested in the drives. I actually sold the 2 I've been holding for you, so I'll have to get a couple more if your still interested.

 

I'm still interested, but since my drive failed and I had to get a new external drive solution, that kind of ate up the funds I had on hand. If you can wait a couple of weeks, I still want to get two more drives for the Hack.

I'm ok with shopping online, but if the price online is within $5 of the in-store price and I have to pay for shipping (negating most discounts), then the prospect of instant gratification and paying roughly the same amount wins.

Hey Bmeyer, do you still have that sub? my friend needs one bad for his car (he has all new speakers, and the subs were in his OEM speakers so the car has 0 bass now as these new speakers were intended to be used with an aftermarket sub.) if you still have the Sub, let me know. My friend is going to be home this weekend.
