need some quick help, if i were to buy some springs to drop the TL...
1. Who would want to do a little spring install day?
2. Is that the only part i would need? shocks? anything else? or will just the springs do?

You can just do springs, and you can get a good set of Eibachs for about $280 or so.

You have to admit Razzi, with all the flared fenders and scoops and vents, the Scoob is going to look like an eyebrow pierced, tatooed, leather pants wearing, beer drinking, ex-con among your Acuras and Infinitis.

I had Eibachs on my TLS, and everyone seemed to love the way they looked, the ride wasn't all that bad either. I have no experience with H&R, but I hear that they are a good brand.

If the HR for the acura is anything like the HR for the G, then i'd highly recommend it.

Find out what the spring rate is and also what the rate is for stock. This will tell you how harsh the ride is going to be. If stock are 300# and the HR are 800#, you might as well forget about having any fillings.

I have H&R sport on mine. It's a nice drop to get rid of the fender gap. Mine are only 1.75" in the front... It looked perfect until I bought my lipkit...now I could use about 1" more in the front for more of a "rake" effect.

I put shocks on at the same time as the springs..no camber kit and no signs of uneven wear.

There is a guy that does race alignments for the auto-x group and he also does tire installs, I'll most likely drop it off for him to mount up the tires and also do the alignment.

I would go to TireRack.com and look for a deal in the size you want. 18s are going to be a bit pricier than 16s or 17s, so be prepared to spend a couple bucks.

I went for the street tire class this year because it was over $600 cheaper for me to get those race tires than a set of slicks, not to mention that I would have had to get a set of wheels to go with the race tires. So, I was able to save $1600 by moving to the street tire category.

+1, I found a great set of Michelins on CL last year for my winter wheels for $50. Check it, you are likely to find a smokin deal if new is not a big issue for you.

Yep, exactly.

Speaking of acuras. I test drove an 06 TL today. It ripped pretty well. Lots of wheel spin though. TCS was working over time on my test drive.

My TCS has saved my ass numorous times in the G. Like when i was hauling ass onto the freeway the other day, hit a frozen spot on the road and the back end skidded out. VDC straightened it out instantly.

that reminds me, some old lady was like 2 feet away from killing me today..
she came around the turn, but instead of turning went straight.. at me..
50mph---><---50mph= DEATH
i swerved and luckily the guy next to me saw it coming, and went up onto the curb so i had some room.. scary as shit.. my heart was racing for the longest time, and all i could do was say "holy shit holy shit holy shit"

she was close enough to hitting me that i could see the whites of her eyes.. less than 2 feet between our bumpers as we passed. when your swerving becasue otherwise it would be head on doing 50, its scary.. im getting worked up just thinking about it..

Who wants to see what my car would look like on BC Racing Coils?

!!!!

Im in love...

But seriously, im debating. i might lower my car lower on an eibach pro kit, which would leave it sitting like this.

Vs what im sitting at now on Z springs up front and coupe springs in the back.

Decisions decisions

Filling your acura thread with my nissan nonsense... sorry lol

Looking at the way they park, I guess owning a Ferrari doesn't mean that you can drive it.

Only taking it out once a year, they probably forget what it's like to drive. I bet they all live in some gated community right across the street and they were just slumming it by parking in a "lot"
