Ceiling Fan blade, the difference.
A good, name brand ceiling fan at Home Depot is $150. Some of the low line fans are $40. Size size. Same features.
The name brand often said how they are design for better air circulation, efficiency, energy star, etc, etc. Are they really?
Are they really better engineered over another brand that make no such claim?
I only have the "cheap ones" at home. Sub-$50. They work. I feel cool. Now it's time to replace them. I just don't know if these big name brands are really worth it.

whichever route you go with, be sure to check the size of the stupid bulb sockets. The fans I bought from HD were freaking intermediate size, so I had to buy an Intermediate to candelabra adapter, then a candelabra to standard size to use my CCFL's!
The length of the blades also affects air-flow. Most upper model fans are larger so they get better flow, plus they have remotes. I went with mid-range ones and am happy with them! As said above, Hunter motors are dead silent!
