Updates/Projects/New Ish
The only regret I have is not installing ZKW lens lol
They were cheap, too.
I bought them on kijiji for like $35 brand new sealed.
About the same cost as a night out to an all-you-can-eat sushi place lol
For an update on my TL, I just placed an order on DRL LEDs.
I don't think there will be a single incandescent bulb on my car after. (Except interior backlighting stays incandescent; I'm not soldering LEDs on all those radio buttons!)
I love them, they are way brighter and whiter than my original bulbs.

Stupid idea installing the rear lip in the winter. Had to do most of it inside including attaching it with the double sided tape, only to find out after when trying to re-install that it was too low and the bracket holes didn't line up with the lip holes. Ripped the left side off and mounted it higher, but then was left with a bit of a gap. Right side isn't even attached to the bracket right now, and I didn't want to rip it and risk another gap. I'll have to fix it in spring.
Car looks like shit from all the salt and dirt, but at least the lip kit is complete.

Haha my hands were going slightly numb today re-installing. Had to keep the garage door open to have enough room. Definitely wasn't nearly as cold as it has been recently though, so I was thankful for that.

So... My my car sat all day and the battery is too weak to start [although all my electronics is working on full power]. Hood latch cable is torn so I can't even boost it... looks like I'm stuck lol
i had to buy and battery for our Rav4 and install it in the open driveway after work yesterday....not fun.
I did my own headlights, and some members came to me to help work on their headlights: shtewps, pnoyrice, DarkNite, TL Seth, kingston-1, JayBabak.
I don't "do" headlights; I merely just offer guidance and hands over a couple beers =)

I saw videos of how to open latches manually... But they are all different designs so it's hard figuring ours out. Still can't get it open.
Wouldn't I need to leave the key in on acc to trickle charge it via the cigarette lighter?
And ah... yes the other day was windy and cold as hell!
My 3K HIDs are still going strong. The ballasts are even in working condition [I event went through 2 OEM ballasts while the DDM is still working]. Although I think one of my wires is loose... and one of the bulbs aren't lighting up. It momentarily flickers when turned on though. Of course... Can't observe what's going on due to the stupid hood latch
i was on costco.ca yesterday and i might order this product which would work for you. It's a solar powered trickle charger that plugs into your cigarette lighter. Go online and check it out.

Hope you guys never have to see this many codes (Indicated by the trio VSA, Triangle, and ABS lights on dash).
On really cold mornings, I would start my car up and these lights would come on 2 minutes after, car still idling, and I haven't even put it in drive yet.
Decided to bring it into a shop to get the codes read. They used a Snap-On reader (generic CEL readers won't pick these codes up).

Had the codes cleared after we had them read, and haven't seen the trio (VSA, Triangle, ABS) light up anymore afterwords

My buddy brought my car into the garage at school... cleared all stored codes. Then suddenly the VSA and Triangle came on...
He tried hooking up literally every single scanner we had in the school to try to read it. Nothing ever came up.
Even a new snap-on one.
Haven't bothered getting things checked since. ABS still works.
So, I guess one of my sensors is actually out.
