Picked up TotK again. Hadn't played since March, I think.

 

Early access of the game and that's it. No other benefits from it. Otherwise you have to wait until the full release in what seems to be June or later of this coming year. My friends and I were getting burned out of D4 so we did the early access to play something else.

 

Thinking about playing this eventually. Should I play Breath of the Wild first?

 

You don’t have to. Just gives a deeper understanding of the lore if you care about it especially when there are call backs. But it’s not necessary.

 

Is there a wooden sword? I've only ever played the Legend of Zelda.

 

There are lots of weapons in this game, they only last so long before wearing out.

But, no it's not like the OG where you start with a wood sword. But yes kinda like it as the quality of gear progresses as you do.

 

It's definitely different. Non-durable weapons & shields makes it tough sometimes.
I'm pretty much down to the last part of the main quest. Just doing side quests before trying the end.

I did not play BotW first, but might still pick it up later.

 

Picked up Gundam Breaker 4 instead. I'm going to try to beat all my backlog games before tackling Zelda.

 

I just found out about Onimusha: Warlords, one of my favorite early PS2 games was rereleased on Steam a few years ago. I bought it for $10 and have been enjoying playing it again. It's not a super popular game, but it had a lasting impact on me. It's very loosely based on Japanese history it features Nobunaga Oda as a resurrected demon. Netflix turned the game series into an anime, maybe I'll check that out too

 

Finished Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2. Wasn't terrible but it's a 1-time play for me. Prolly 6.5 out of 10 game?

Probably my 2nd all time favorite racing game behind Gran Turismo. I loved the setup and design. I miss my Sega Dreamcast

 

Half-Life 2 RTX Demo is sick!

 

Been playing Unicorn Overlord the last couple of weeks and have to say, it's fantastic.

 

Finished Unicorn Overlord (good game) and surprise surprise...back at Elden Ring. 5th playthrough.

 

Been playing GT7 and it's rather addicting.

 

My oldest just got a Quest 3S, a bit disorienting for me, getting it set up for her.
We'll see how it goes...

 

Recently picked up BlazBlue Entropy Effect X. Super fun. Recommended if you want a 2D-side-scroller arcade-like game. Very very fun and gorgeous.

 

Buddy and I have been playing Highgaurd lately. Fun game, needs a little work. Unfortunately there is developer abandonment and will mostly like have the plug pulled later this year. Its too bad, game has potential.
