Went 6:52 around the nurburgring in the HSV010 earlier today. My butt was sweating when I was done haha. I use the old Logitech G25 steering wheel. (I think that's the name of it)

Anyone using the one with the shifter and clutch?

The glitch was fixed. If you haven't updated to V1.02, you can still go do the glitch one more time. After that, only the V1.02 patch will be available and cars from that version are not sellable in V1.0.

It's because of Licensing with electronic arts, they have them by the nuts for need for speed.

Heck even forza didn't initially get them, afaik even the newest forza doesn't have it.

Fat chance. Hasn't happened for 15 years. I'm not expecting it now. I'll be happy if we get the Ferrari FF, LaFerrari and McLaren P1 at this point.

Seems like they are trying to screw people by changing the sell price for some of the 20mil cars. Gt40's aren't affected yet but the x2010's sell prices are now 1.8 mil

 

Sold all of the M4 to get 20 mil cars to stash in the garage. Then sell when needed moola

 

Cars sell for approximately 30% of the buying price. They changed the price of the X1's with the V1.01 update. They were 20m before the patch but like 6m from V1.01 on.

A long, LONG time ago, I didn't mind EA, now I despise them.

 

I never minded EA until Real Racing 3. The best mobile sim-racer ever when it came out, completely ruined by micro transactions after the first big update. I would have gladly paid $20+ for the game but, just like I said about GT6's micro transactions, I refuse to be nickel and dimed a few dollars at a time to enjoy a game.

 

Well you don't have to buy the credits in GT6. They don't even really advertise it in game.

 

No, you don't, especially now that they've upped the payouts after the massive backlash from the GT community. If you wanted to own a lot of the high end cars in the game though, you would have been grinding for years to get them. How long would it take to grind out 20 million credits to buy the Ferrari 330 P4 Race Car? I'll give you a hint, the TOTAL payout of credits from start to finish in V1.01 was about 7.5 million credits. That's playing every single race in the game. You would have to do that 3 times over just to afford a 20 million credit car. Personally, I don't have time to grind races for hours at a time every single day. Does that mean I should be denied using the content that I paid $60 for? PD/Sony obviously thought I would spend more real money on virtual credits to buy virtual cars. Instead, their greed bit them in the ass with the 20m credit glitch. Now nobody has to worry about credits in the game, (if they used the glitch wisely),

I use the G27 with manual shifting when I drive cars that wouldn't realistically come with paddles. It's a pain sometimes though, I miss shifts frequently even when I seem to do it right and lose precious tenths of seconds. There's no feedback from clutch unlike a real car.

I'll have to try it, so far I only did the 'ring once in GT6, in the 3rd race on the German car challenge, using an M3. It was a pleasure and I didn't even do any mistakes.

 

My own record on the X2010 in GT5 was 3:96 I think. I just wanted to get under 4 min and stopped. Racing for 4 min on that track with that car is physically and mentally draining, you're constantly gripping the wheel and trying to keep up with the turns, I was pouring sweat when I was done. It's insane.
