I'm beating some 400-500pp cars with my bone stock Honda Fit. Is this game just that much easier? Should I turn up the AI? I left it at default.

Leave the race tires at home and use dirt tires.

These missions are pretty interesting like killing cones or leading after 5 mins.

The Tommy Kaira ZZII is so not fair. Thing just flies by the other 600pp- cars.

Just wait til you get the LCC Rocket. Makes short work of some much faster cars. A fuel sipper that makes some races a lot easier.

I did read the ZZII was kind of a cheat car. I know there are a few lists. I was just sick of losing to a stupid Esprit by 1 second in my underpowered Stage 3 NA S2k.

There are quite a lot of cheat cars in GT6.

GSXR and TS030 came to mind.
