BUT, if you don't mind using the ethernet cable, I'd do that as that will give you the fastest and most reliable connection.

Kris, when mine was having connection problems, I could also use the browser fine, but it wouldn't connect to PSN. I eventually had to reboot the router which re-did the UPNP connection to my PS3 and then it worked. I'd try enabling UPNP on the router.

I just started doing that gt academy thing, and i found out that ends today too lol. Just finished doing the tsukba circuit and the best I can do as of now is 1:07.xxx I'm ranked 2877 in that right now. I dunno how I'm gonna make up 3 seconds.

I was ranked like 200th in the Northwest, but I only put like a day's effort into it. If I had put more hours in I could've advanced, but it's not worth the effort unless you're gonna be at the top

Hmmm the seasonal events are totally different.
I'm also not seeing crazy prize amounts either (you have to go into the event to see how much you can win)

Ok guess it was the FR events that paid little.
Looks like the Ferrari formula races provide like 500k or so.

I'm the Firestarter
I tried a bunch of remote races last night. Since I don't know anyone else who bothers with B-Spec mode I created a second ID and I share the cars between them. Sometimes it looks flaky, like I can do a bunch of races in a row with the same drivers and then I can't, they're unavailable for some reason.
I think if you want to level up your drivers the best way is to get a second account and race from there, because you can select and race all of your friend's drivers at the same time, but only one of your own drivers. It seems like a real quick way of leveling up, after just a few races my 2nd ID was up to 3 drivers.
The site also works fine on the iPhone, also some of the toolbars are misplaced on the screen.

FUCK!!! no more duping of really really expensive cars!
A new update has been released for Gran Turismo 5.
The main contents of the update are as follows:
[Major Changes and New Features]
Friend Rankings
In Drift Trials and Time Trials, you can now display leaderboards that shows only your friends. While it was difficult before to locate your friends in the general leaderboards, this now makes it easier to compare laptimes with them, allowing you to compete just between your friends for the best laps and scores.
[Correction of Known Issues]
- The calculation of performance points (PP) which is an index of a car's performance, is now calculated without taking into account the tyre selection. You can now combine the performance point restriction and the tyre restriction when setting the regulations for a lounge.
- Fixed the issue where the performance of electric cars increased/decreased after a certain amount of driving.
- Downloaded replays from Seasonal Event Rankings can now be viewed properly.
[Other Changes]
- Cars worth over 1,000,000 Cr. (Including those in a gift car ticket form) are now prohibited from being traded to prevent issues during the trading process. When lending and borrowing cars between friends, please utilise the car loan system.

holy step backwards, Batman..... I would have liked to see them make it EASIER to do... what the f does it matter to them? they should want MORE people staying interested in the game, not less. people aren't gonna be playing this game forever. anyways maybe in the future they'll let some walls down when they see interest is dwindling.

Guess I can get to duping over the SuperGT cars now. Got most of 1,000,000+ cars anyways.
