What you can do to combat this is, get a high-hp car that you are sure will win the race - put Hard race tires on it - this will cause it to not pit as often - it will still pit, but it will last many laps longer i.e. fewer pitstops. ALSO - KEEP an eye on your Bspec driver.... he is quite dumb - he will sometimes pit on the LAST LAP of say, a 20-lap race at Super Speedway, causing you to lose the race - ask me how I know - the P light will come on before he is about to pit... if you notice the P light come on at the last lap of the race - TURN IT OFF by hitting the pit button, I forgot what it is off the top of my head, I think its the circle. So you can control whether he pits or not. Remember, he is quite dumb - so you either a) get a hellaciously fast car that blows away the other AI cars so badly that it doesn't matter if he pits on the last lap because he is laps ahead of 2nd place - or b) supervise the Bspec driver guy.
Supposedly your Bspec driver gets better as you rack up the Bspec points, and I do feel like this is happening, I have about 4500 Bspec points right now and I can just leave the pace at 5 and overtake set to ON and he will win the race. If I tried this when my Bspec pts were lower, he would wipe out a lot and not do well. Of course I am also using an insane car, so I'm not 100% sure what is the deciding factor there, but I think it does have something to do with the Bspec pts.
ok, hope that makes sense.

So, in essence, the Bspec mode does require some amount of supervision, IF you want to complete the races quickly.

thanks for the info. i did one endurance race and figure it would throw me back into it but it didn't. i was just wondering if you can controll this because the 24 hour nurburg race will take forever if it just kicks me out. i can tell with the b-spec that the more points you get the better your driver is. i think right now i have about 5800 b-spec points and my guy is pretty good but not the best.

i don't care what anyone else says, I really appreciate Bspec mode, I just don't have the time to race EACH and EVERY race in Aspec mode... Bspec is a lifesaver for people that don't (or can't) play video games 24/7 - which I think would be most of us

I don't care if this makes me a GT4 party pooper, there is just no way in hell I would run a 24 hour race in Aspec mode, anywhere. Not even a 4 hour race. It's just too much. You know what I did for Nurburgring though - is switch to Aspec mode and run a few laps myself... just for fun - and it was fun. Then I switched back to Bspec.

i agree with you. you don't need to run every race. i like b-spec mode if i have a killer car and just let it go. it saves so much time and you get things done faster. some races you have to do yourself. i like b-spec because i deffinatly don't want to do every race. to tell you the truth i try to use b-spec where ever i can because it is easy but when i'm in a jam i drive myself. and there is no way in hell i'm driveing the full 24 hours.
can't find civic type r in used car section 1 or 2
i've been looking for this car but can't find it. my friend bought one but i can't find it. i did notice it said that the used car list has been updated. does that mean they took it out of the list? i started with a used skyline then went into a used integra type r but still can't find that civic type r.
wow, just entered an Extreme event race @ the Ring, and one of the AI cars is a car I've never seen before, in any pics, or anywhere!!! I've never even heard of this car anywhere...!!! it's the Peugeot 905 Race Car '92 - and apparently it's the 2nd fastest car in the game!!! I have no idea where to even get this.... I would guess Peugeot but I haven't looked lol..... here are some pics:

Only problem is that you have to make sure that all of the players uses the same controller configs. so you dont have a chaos trying to change controllers....that happened to me once....we quit the race at lap 10...lol

call it " Post your GT4 setups here"
and we should ask the mods to limit the thread only to setups and have no comments.
that would be more useful.
or, if he didn't wanna go through and play the whole game.... when I got NFS Underground 2, I just downloaded a full-game save from somewhere so I could unlock everything in the game. I had no desire to go through all the levels and bs and unlock things that way. And, I haven't played it since LOL. Honestly someone who really loves any game series and really WANTS to play through it, will not have any desire to cheat to get money or advance levels etc... that's the bottom line. This applies to anything, imo.

yea i almost started a thread but we really need to get a proper format setup first. Perhaps we can wait? So it's standardized? Somebdoy needs to get the listing from the game of the names etc., for settings....
