Ready for the DLC. All I have left to do until then is level up what exotic gear I have left and get as many factions to 90% of the way to level 4 so that when the DLC comes out I can quickly top of all my rankings for some new DLC gear.

Ultimately Id like to still find Crota boots for the titan, level those then switch to the Skullfort/Saint14 helmet with ThunderDevil.
And I need to level my Mask of the Third man for my hunter.
Warlock is perfect but still have extra exotics to cap.

I don't play crucible much. I rather dislike PVP. Forced myself into the crucible though to finish the Bad JuJu bounty that's been bothering me when I see it in my inventory the last couple weeks.

Did a couple rounds I was happy with and got the bounty done. Wish I hadn't gotten rid of the Thorn bounties I have found as that is now the final exotic weapon I need.

Probably wont be back in PVP until I get that Thorn bounty again. Tempted to do the next IB as my clan all likes to do it with a full team of six. And I'd love some of those IB weapons. We'll see.

Thanks to Xur my exotic armor collection is almost complete as well. I just need Lucky Raspberry and Young Ahamkara's Spine for the Hunter. As well the Helm of Inmost Light for the Titan and I'll be done. Still plenty to level up.

Currently my favorite legendary weapons are my Crusader 1 Scout with grenadier, AP rounds, and firefly. Also my Judgement 6 Shotgun with final round, hammer forged, and shot package in Void. Both from New Monarchy.

House of Wolves doesn't have a new raid along with it.

 

Nope. Instead it will have what Bungie has describes as "a brand new three-player cooperative multiplayer arena."

They will reveal more to us on May 6th regarding the Arena being called Prison of Elders.

My guess is it will be a three man horde mode. Maybe in a colosseum type arena. Though this will not be where we collect our new gear.

Bungie stated as well..
Reddit users have speculated that is where you will find armor to reach the next level cap.

This would be upsetting for me as I am not a PVP fan. So to learn the only way to level cap is to participate in the new PVP is putting a poor taste in my mouth.

I however have faith that Bungie would not exclude level capping to those that dont play PVP. My hopes is that the Trials are just a new IB and there will be another set of end game gear to be found in PVE.

We shall see.

There are more updates bungie hasnt told us about.

• No more Blades of Crota
• New audio ques for bounties and varies menus

And thank you Xur for selling Inmost Light. Now all I need are Lucky Rasp and Young Spines for the Hunter plus Thorn and I am 100% done with exotic weapons and armor. I doubt this will happen before the DLC though.

 

So everyone is making a big deal about this story. Gameinformer even wrote an article about it. I think its karma for the kid trying to cheat in the first place

 

Yeah I remember that story when it first started.

When you say "cheating" I can only laugh because 90% of the community I get matched with will cheat and cheese their way to victory. Reddit is flooded with people's solo crota runs while cheating and they see no issues what so ever with cheating the IB rank so you can buy armor without even leveling IB that week.

Regardless though, Game Informer ran an article this last issue following up on that story. They were approached by the mother of the teen that deleted the kids stuff. The teen had no remorse and told GI that he only message to the 11yr old is to suck it up.

That is appalling. Id have nothing but a lot of negative shit to say to that little fucker. What a pathetic piece of shit to find laughs from making an 11yr old cry.

 

On a happier note... the reef reveal has gotten me super pumped for the HoW release.

Cliff notes from live interview today:

• All legendary and exotic weapons and armor can be upgraded to 365 damage and level 34.
• Exotics will need glimmer, planetary material or weapons parts, and exotic shards.
• Legendaries will need glimmer, planetary material or weapons parts, and a new material called Etheric Light.
• Etheric light will drop during both new events plus IB and nightfalls.
• New legendary weapons can be rerolled at the gunsmith for a mote of light.
• All factions will have new gear and you'll be able to dress like the Fallen faction as well.
• New events will change weekly. Not sure if that means just loot or the event itself.
• The new PVP event, Trials of Osiris, will be weekends only.

HoW is going to give me a real good reason to do PvE again. Dark Below just didn't have much replay value at all. HoW is bringing new PvE with Prison of Elders and new PvP with Trials of Osiris. Damn excited for Destiny again.

HoW>Dark Below. Thoroughly enjoying this so far. Vestian Dynasty (I think that's what it is) is amazing.

I need to farm for some treasure keys.

 

Got to be my proudest achievement in Destiny. Me, Potmilkz, and a coworker achieving Flawless in Trials of Osiris and posing in the exclusive Lighthouse.

 

My buddies have been cheating in ToO. They change characters when they see the team is stacked. I wont join them because of it. We got to 7 wins then lost 1. Then won 2. Happy enough with the gold package.

I do have all three 34s now. Waiting on that reset to buy the new gun thatll be sold.

 

Not really a fan of PvP. Connections screw you. Multiple times this weekend played against some guys that had red/yellow bars and I was dead before I even saw them. It sucks but oh well. Really liking the Prison. Very fun. Main grind I'm seeing here is treasure keys. Sat at the skywatch farming them the other day. Only got a couple, but got tons of blue/purple engrams as well as ammo synths. They do need to create a way to dump ammo synths because I have about 100+ special synths now on a few characters and they are taking up a lot of space. My other gripe is that you can only run each higher level PoE once a week, which is fine for the actual rewards, but I want to get the rep bonuses and you only get them the first run out. I mean getting the big chest after finishing is nice, but I'd like to be able to use all these judgement coins I have just sitting around taking up more space.

 

On sale for $20 this week. I'll never play MP. Worth it?

 

Destiny for $20? Totally. You can get the DLC for $25ish for both IIRC.

 

Hmm, even vanilla Destiny (Destiny without any expansion) was worth the $50 in my opinion. So at $20 I think you'll be getting a lot for the money. Not sure how much stuff is still left in vanilla Destiny but if you dish out an extra $25 for the expansion, you're getting a lot of content and if you start to enjoy it, you'll be getting a lot of play time out of it.

You probably ran into someone cheating. Destiny is one of the hot games right now and the number of people playing is insane. With that many players, you are bound to go up against some undesirables.

Lag switches are HEAVY in ToO right now. I wont even play because of it. Even my friends are cheating in a way by changing characters if the team they are against looks good. Doesnt count as a loss for them. I have given them shit for their pussy tactics but they dont care.

But yeah, a lag switch will slow down your connection enough to let you not take damage and then get a kill while the enemy sees you running in place or teleporting around.


And honestly, I wouldnt even worry about keys if I were you. They only give the chance at OLD exotics and new queens weapons that arent that great. I havent done the 35 but i hear on reddit even the 35 isnt going to give you anything special.

The random drops in PoE and ToO with the elementals is the real bread and butter. Best found after beating Skolas and in the ToO lighthouse.

 

Yeah I could see all that being the issue here for sure. I don't mind hunting for keys, even if I get something I don't want it means a shard/mote of light. Only major complaint is special synths. There really needs to be a way of getting rid of them ASAP. They are piling up! Really enjoying HoW so far though.

found my first Treasure Key from an Ether Chest yesterday! woot, so hey question, i know i have to finish the quests for HoW before i can begin the "prison" raid/instances....but is the "quest" mission's the purple "bounties" that i get from ole' chick in the reef?

 

The ones you pick up from her, the "wanted" bounties are just weekly bounties. She will eventually point you to Variks and you have to finish missions through him. Basically go to the exclamation point in the director and you'll find the HoW expansion missions with a little II in the corner.

 

i literally got this game a week ago, and im already lv.28 lol what is the director? i've just been grinding bounties and crucible and i want to start getting into endgame

 

I like how when someone finally gets gjally everyone congratulates them like they just got engaged or announced they were expecting a child.

I still don't have Icebreaker, gally, fatebringer, VoC, HoC, WoC, Vex, etc and everyone that I got into the a couple months ago game now has gally already.

Someone help me beat lvl 34 PoE, I was up past 3am with Woody and Neo and we couldn't beat the last round.

Seems like I better stick to IB to get my etheric light because I still haven't been able to get a team to beat lvl 34 PoE

 

I'd help but I'm one of the few who play on XBOX One. Doing those old raids to get those old guns will help.
