Im gonna do a drive-by at midnight to see what it looks like... if I dont see a mob outside, I may try getting it 2nite.

 

Busy with school and Battlefield 3 so this is low on my list.

Those who get it tell me how it is. Everyone I know and their mom is getting this game. It'd be nice to have a game to play all my friends on at one time.

 

After braving the cold for an hour outside I got my copy!!

 

I dont think Ive ever bought a game at midnight before.... if I did this.... then that means this is gonna be a HUGE sales record....

finished 2nd on my 2nd match on FFA, 29-18.. coulda had the win but I was f'king around with care packages and sht. Im LIKING THIS, gents.

 

My buddy bought it at Wal Mart already & then waved it in front of the folks at Gamestop next door.

I'll pick it up tomorrow at lunch.

 

the graphics don't look as good as MW2.... on PS3....

better than Black ops, but not as good as MW2... I might still get this for PC.. the environments are beautiful and the play and feel is great. you can kill with 2-3 bullets now, even single hits... still plays kind of arcadey compared to something like BF, but its not as floaty as MW2

the store I went to said there was a lot of people there earlier, but I got there at 12:45 to avoid the rush. here is what I saw when I got there, thats the cashier I went to. lol. thats only one person standing there on the left, there is nobody else around him.

 

I played for an hour and a half, its fun. I don't see myself spending as much time on this as I did with MW2 when I first got it, though. Just because I have some other projects going on right now that I can't lose sight of. But I will play when I can. I am a bit disappointed with the graphics, though. But other than that, I feel the game has been improved in meaningful and sensible ways. The maps are refreshing and well detailed, I can't believe there's a map in India!

 

the Future Shop I went to for the midnight release raffled off 2 Hardened Editions AND a 47" LG LCD+Surround Sound system!! I wish I can say I won something, but I did get a t-shirt and poster


Is anyone else having a hard time logging into the Elite thingy?

i just watched a multiplayer game on youtube of a guy using the SCAR.

do ALL the weapons have zero recoil? this guy is murding people with a red dot 100 yards away while holding the trigger down....

 

All the weapons are supposed to have recoil...link to the video?

 

the actual gun moves, but the cross hairs and aim stay put.

i dont even remember the past CoD's weapons being that stationary.

or maybe the scar is just a very precise weapon on there?

Hmm interesting...the scar was a damn accurate gun in mw2 but you're right...seems like zero or close to zero recoil...

 

Grabbed it half hour ago.... Awesome so far.

yeah, pretty easy to kill. also, the auto-aim when someone is near you (where it moves your gun for you) is more pronounced than before, and its annoying. I wonder if there's a way to turn that off (I think there is somewhere in options).

I hope they can tweak the zero recoil issue with an update or something

 

i mean i guess its a level playing field if its the same for everyone.. but thats the beauty of unlocking better weapons and perks... so you can achieve an advantage.

Alright, but I suck now (not that I was great in the past)

I used to play on my desk with 28" monitor, which was nice and big. Perfect size/distance on a desk. But now, I have 55" in the living room, it feels way too different... Last time I played mw2, I could barely get 1:1 ratio >_<
I'm going to play some single player before going online.. need to get used to the big tv and loud speakers =)

 

Has anyone tried the survival mode I heard about.

It's supposed to be like zombies but not zombies. I guess waves of enemies.

 

after two games, I'm legitimately excited for MW3. It feels like a combination of MW2 and CoD4, and the guns take more skill to use (we'll see how that changes with the unlocks/proficiencies). Maps so far are good and play pretty well, with no obvious OP camping spots, which has been a huge problem for the latest CoD games.

these maps...they're just like a big circle. feels like they have no direction. feel dizzy from running around in circles.

also they screwed us PC players by telling us that there would be dedicated servers, but leaving out the tiny little HUGE part that they're only on non-ranked games. Got to go back to this shit player-hosted format and the lag is already almost unbearable.
