Fuk the haters. Im getting this game tonight for ps3 anyway.
I just checked with 3 of my boys who have the ps3 version and they all said that the graphics are not an issue for them. They are loving it as a matter of fact.
Me thinks that some people are being too anal. Big deal that some of the shutters look crappy? When you are shooting and running around, who is looking at shutters?

im not going to live that long.
you miss the point.
some people would buy a CoD game if it was only a 30 minute video of staring at a jar of mayonnaise..
thats the reality of big franchise games.
you're allowed to love it unconditionally and we are allowed to critique it..
although im holding my final judgement until i get a few more friends feedback.. but at the moment, im not very excited to shell out $60 for an iffy game.

On my end im getting nothing but positive reviews from people I know in real life
The only complaint is a bit of lag every now and then but I attribute that to EVERYONE banging on these servers at the same time. This should resolve itself in a few days.

We love Tac Insert. It does a few things for the game strategy. A well organized team of Tac Insert user can roll the competition in Demo. It’s grand, really, and how it should be. Counter by organizing your own team of Tac Insert users and roll with Hacker.
It also solves a problem. A lot of you are super convinced you can make a better spawn system than we can. That’s cool. So, here you go. Here is Tac Insert. Pick your own spawn point and stop yelling at me.
Trying to use Tac Insert but are getting Tac Insert spawned camped? Well, you probably deserve that but you can now cancel your own Tac Insert in the Killcam. That’s new to Black Ops.
The main reason I am not as worried about Tac Insert as you? We can disable it. And, I just did for Free-For-All (hardcore and core) variants. It will still work in Private Matches in Free for All, but then you don’t get XP in Private Matches so it can’t be used for boosting.

All in all it's not as good as MW2 (but that blew everyone away). I like that you can buy your accessories for the weapons instead of having to earn them. Sometimes you just want to skip the red dot and go right to the acog.
The killstreak rewards are pretty awesome also. Plus... zombie mode rocks.

Mine looks just fine. Clear as MW2....even my shutters are pretty clear
BTW, i'm loving the game so far!

I would love to find out its me doing something wrong. But I don't see how that would be the case. MW2 looks fine on it, and all I had to do in that game is adjust the screen size. That's what I did in this game too. There's no other graphics options in the game and all other PS3 games look fine on my system.

I'm not sure if it's even possible, but could the copy you got be a lemon?
I pretty much just popped it in, did the few calibration settings it first prompts you with (brightness, screensize), and then I started playing. Shouldn't have to do much else.

Controls, weapons, online gameplay etc. Of course people don't like it at first. Let's see where the score will be in a few weeks.
I'm keeping an open mind, my first instinct is to say "aw this sucks, i don't know about this...i like MW2 better" but im keeping an open mind and giving myself a few days to adjust.
I decided to trade a few games in instead of buying it..

Ya the rc car gets annoying. The first time I got one I just blew my self up.
Not sure that I like how you have to buy everything and def dont like how under powered the M16 is.
Other than that just getting used to the game.

I've played it for PS3 last night - and I confirmed with a friend that the online game play seems to be slower than MW2. Like when I'm sprinting - it seems i'm not going as fast on MW2, also aiming is a little slower - could this be a server issue? or a FPS issue? I know that they did use the game engine for COD4 so maybe they did take a step backwards.
Also - what is up with the ghey grenade sounds? When it explodes it sounds like a POOF instead of a BOOM.....

yeah, it feels more "realistic" than MW2. overall I like the new sound set, it sounds more 'mature'. but I agree the grenade sounds are lacking. and, I like that you "buy" the upgrades, and prefer it CONSIDERABLY over the old system, because I can pick and choose what I want!

Can you detonate the RC immediately? Everytime I press the trigger button it starts beeping and doesnt explode until a few seconds later....by this time the target already is shooting at me or running up the stairs

so far i like black ops on ps3...defintely more detailed with the maps....i've noticed when trying to knife you have to be closer to your enemy too......my graphics are fine on my game and system not sure why people are having problems

Also when the gun hits the target it makes a very annoying sound. Anyways I needed a new game and i returned my sealed MoH back to get this

Do you guys like the slower pace? My initial reaction was why the heck were these guys sprinting so slow

I don't mind the slower pace. it does make the game seem more realistic, and more like BC or Medal of Honor. Not as "arcadey" as MW2.
It spawns weird, sometimes it'll put you really close to an enemy.

I decided to get it. Only played multiplayer so far. I hate the bastards with the RC cars, but I'm still a noob.
All in all, I like it hella better than Halo Reach

That might be if you have a 3d tv. I didn't turn my "stereoscopic 3d" setting off in the game before I played and mine was kind of blurred. So needless to say on my first online match I went like 3-18 because I couldnt see anything.
