I dunno what's wrong with me, but I'm just not excited for this game

 

Im guessing the extra stuff will be available online, in due time?

 

from what I know about you, you seem to go through these kind of lackluster 'phases' where you're not excited about things that you are excited about, at other times. such as photography heh. I would say, let it pass, you will be excited at some time in the future.

 

im not AS excited as i was for MW2... but shiny new toys are always good.

most of my excitement comes from not getting a new game since august.

 

the difference for me is that MW2 was my first Call of Duty game. I never played the older ones. That means, I was also a (thanks , noobhunter ).

so I think thats a big reason why Im VERY excited about this.

 

they have their ups and downs..

according to history.. this game is supposed to suck.. but the reviews and trailers tell otherwise.

Treyarch hasnt done anything to earn my confidence as of yet.

 

I personally dont have time to learn new games, so it will be nice to pop a game in for the first time in a while that I already can play pretty damn well.

my expectations are not too high, but I ready to be surprised.

actually I will be buying this game only later this week... not tonight. ok probably tomorrow night. lol. because tomorrow at 8:30am I have a big appointment, I am taking photos for a friend who is having a baby. and, I can't be gaming all night tonight.

Its really sad but last night I was trying to stay up and play MW2 to polish up my online skills which I have to say are extremely rusty unfortunately but I only made it till 1am

I had much better luck though playing the game on veteran and playing several levels without even dieing.

Hopefully the adrenaline from a new game and playing the missions will make easier. All nighters used to be simple haha.

 

^off topic...i saw an episode of the real world or something on mtv. they had a contest of staying up for like 3 or 4 days.
at the end of the contest...they were hallucinating and speaking gibberish. I wanted to try it in highschool summer days.

 

i stayed up for 30 hours straight recently.. it was not too hard to do.

 

i guess that doesn't support my theory of only being able to do this in college. i don't even remember why I did it. too bad I don't care when I contradict myself. hell, if the people who run our country do it all day long, why can't I? that's right. I can.

 

Haha not going for that crazy. Besides my hands will probably cramp up before I have played 24 hours straight of COD. If I recall the longest session of games I have ever managed to play is like 8-10 hours before my fingers hurt.

 

Problem is I won't have been sleeping all day today so I will already have been up for 14 hours by the time I get the game tonight so I don't see myself last more than 6-10 max boooo.

 

anything extra with pre-ordering?.. b/c im not going to midnight release... and if there's no bonus im not gonna waste a trip to GS today.

Only extras come in the prestige and hardened limited edition copies which apparently ran out of pre-ordered for the cheaper hardened edition $79.99 and the prestige $149.99. I missed getting the hardened and now people are selling them for around $110.00 so I just went and bought the prestige with the rc car. They both come with extra online content of 4 extra maps for multi-player and some extra zombie maps as well.

The basic doesn't come with those although I am sure in a month or so whenever the first map pack gets released for purchase those extra maps will be available for free but hey I don't want to wait so I am paying to get them now.

I know a few small time/mom-n-pop shops that sell it early. I got MW2 a week early but they only sold the standard editions. I went with the prestige edition this time around so I have to wait until actual release date.

 

Supposedly in some towns this game is on back order, I don't remember the game that was sold out on release day. I think it was like Halo 2 or something

Last time I lined up at a GS for an hour before midnihgt for MW2 and thought......... F..k... If I would have just stayed home ,had a staff meeting and went in at 1am , I could have just walked in and bought and left. I did not pre-order and am going in around 1230 to see if I can get 1. They went through pre-orders then sold to others last time. This was for the regular edition not the hard or vet. editions

every store that does pre-orders should have plenty of extra copies to sell afterwards...

I was very very lucky to get a copy for $50. I have a copy of the hardened edition coming in from amazon tomorrow so I'm going to sell the regular one tomorrow for $50 and keep the hardened lol. Anybody wantto buy it? Lol

Wasn't too much in a hurry to get this game actually. I still really want it, but a day or two or three isn't gonna kill me. I hate lines, and getting too hyped up about something only makes waiting suck even worse.

 

i was going to pick up the hardened edition but when i found that none of my friends bothered... i figured i'd wait for the other maps like everyone else...
