Heh, I've wanted to get back into PC FPS for a while now. My friends all play 360 now, and unfortunately (only cause I don't have a PS3 yet) some are into PS3 now. My computer is a though, I run SC2 on all the lowest settings except for models, textures (medium) and use 3D portraits.... and it still lags when there are a lot of units on screen.

I have a real simple fix to the whole commando and lightweight BS. Just add a slight delay for the melee, like in Battlefield.... it's already stupid that you can kill someone with just one knife swing, and it makes it even worse when you can insta-kill anyone that surprises you.

 

Yeah, or make it like CS where its not one hit kill. The knife duels in CS got pretty intense

 

There is 3 or 4 new multiplayer modes. There is now going to be a currency system where you can bet money on each match, which in turn you use to buy items for your weapons. The top 3 spots finish in the money. There is also one mode where you start off with one weapon and once you get a kill with that weapon you move up to the next one. If you die you go back one level. The first person to get a kill with every weapon wins. The 3rd is called "sticks and stones" Where you use Crossbows with exploding tips, tomahawks, and ballistic knives. the other is each player starts with a knife and a pistol. (the gun only has 1 round) For every kill you get, you earn an extra bullet. I'm guessing the last person alive wins. In this mode you only get 3 lives. This mode is called One in the Chamber. Sounds like its going to be crazy fun. I cant wait to play it!

Every time I see second chance/last stand it makes me laugh. I wish I had a capture card when I played COD 4, I would have made a last stand deagle sniping montage.

 

The one where you move up to a new gun with each kill is called gun game. It was real popular with counter strike and I loved playing it

I imagine pro will be either explosives going through walls or there being no damage reduction through walls

What about steady aim pro? There's already a scout perk that reduces weapon sway when looking through a sniper scope, don't know why they would have one for longer breath.

oh and lol @ Tactical Mask perk. You get night vision goggles... cause it's not like you can up the brightness or anything

Nov 9th. I cant wait. This game is going to be a lot of fun, until the booster/ glitchers find the bugs in game.

 

It's been reported that Treyarch will disable tactical insertions in FFA. I'm excited, hoping that they're not as lazy as Infinity Ward. They actually give a shit. Also you can cancel a tac insert in your killcam if you want.

It's a good thing, but kind of too bad... booster hunting was fun. Except when they had 2 people boosting and like 3-4 people standing guard with claymores and auto shotties

In objective game modes, or for the dumb asses that put their tac inserts out in the open, if you get killed near your plant spot, I'm guessing you can just press a button to spawn randomly instead of where some guy is laying there prone, ready to shoot your head off

Also, I hope they don't make the tac insert flare show through walls.... I'd sometimes see red smoke through a wall and I'd run around and plant a claymore there... hehe

Good, boosters/glitchers really piss me off. I even had some guys on my FL asking me if I wanted to boost, I didn't even reply. I'm hoping the Treyarch team puts out a better game than IW in both Single Player and Multiplayer.

I almost never used a tac insert. The only reason I used it was because it is on the preconfigured class.

I'm still up in the air. Leaning towards buying but I have to see if they fixed multi player. The more I play mw2 the more I realize it sucks.

I'm pretty sure the single player will be awesome though.

 

The single player campaign will probably be short again.

Anyways, I walked into the store where I had reserved a copy ($10 down) and asked the same employee if they are still NOT doing the midnight launch (cuz that's what she told me the day I reserved it about a month ago), she told me that they got a new district manager and he's making most of the stores do it. I got kinda excited and paid the rest of the balance lol. Tho, somehow I don't think the lines will be as long as the ones in California.

LOL I just figured out who has the game, its my other neighbor across the street. I just looked at his trophies on PS3 and sure enough, he already has a few trophies in Black OPS.

Damn lucky bastard. I gotta stop by my local store and make sure they are doing midnight launch because I want to be able to play Monday already. I know I got MW2 8pm the night before release day already. So want this game already. One of the only games I buy really anymore.

 

Yeah, I've kind of become a casual gamer now, but this is one game I'm really looking forward to. I bought two games this year, one of which I'm not particularly proud of, but neither of them are for the console and both of them have some incredible variety and replay value. lookin forward to what Treyarch put into the game to keep it interesting.

I just hope it's not broken. Kinda forgot how good COD4 was, gameplay wise. As for anyone who wanted me to play PC, I've come to the sad realization that my PC is a POS and I don't really like playing shooters that have choppy graphics due to crappy hardware. anything below 30 FPS sucks

 

I hate keyboard controls for games and I know I could get a controller but console is just so much easier. I use to play COD, Tiger Woods, and NCCA Football but haven't even played pretty much of the other two either since finishing school. Really need to actually start playing MW2 to get ready for Black Ops so I can be ready haha.

Damn didn't realize there was extra content on the hardened edition and already pre-ordered the regular one. Now I can't find any place with the Hardened edition and Amazon.com sellers have it marked up to 105.99 which is just stupid.
