The damage is better than FM2 I think, but not amazing as they made it out to be. But compared to GT, with cars bouncing off of walls and other cars, it's pretty realistic.

 

well maybe i was expecting that if i drive 100mph into a wall the car should be toast.

or if the car flips over and lands on the roof, pressing on the gas or reverse wont some how make the car flip over

Haha true true. But then again this game is angled towards all driving enthusiasts of all ages. My 9 year old cousin wants to get the game, so they have to make it somewhat easy and simple here and there.

Ask for it as past of your Christmas so you don't have to spend your own money, that's what I'm doing

Never having created any art in any video game before, this was definitely an eye opening (and FRUSTRATING) experience. I went in expecting layer management and editing similar to photoshop, where I can easily overwrite a part of a layer or make a portion of a layer transparent, but I couldn't figure out how. After going back and watching Jube3's video tutorial I realize now how important it is to plan out your method and techniques. A lack of planning definitely caused me great frustration and I ended up having to use a ton of stamping to get the details to my satisfaction.

 

Boo! There isn't a stock R35 GT-R (at least not in free play). Oh well. I think that it's cool that they have a few of the ARX model Acuras. They are really fun to drive.

edit: The selection in menu music is much improved. Suits the clean layout.

You have to at least install the 2nd disc with the extra cars and tracks to the HD. I'm going to rip the play disc later tonight.
