Yea I do too. I'm not going to lie, the Cooper is a quick and nimble little shit around the track.

I love having the demo, but it's such a damn tease for the actual game. I want to see how much customization they really added. Not really the paint customization, but the actual parts and such. I'm really really hoping that you can change your staggered wheel set up manually. Like if I wanted to run a staggered set up on a FWD. Forza 2 didn't let me do that

I haven't played forza motorsport since forza 1 on regular Xbox, then again i haven't played any video games really for like a few years now. However I am seriously thinking of gettin a 360 just so I can play this (well of course not only this). I freakin love how much detail they put into this one and have always appreciated how accurate the physics, the tuning, and the tracks were even in the first one.

Amazed to see how far video games have come. I started with Atari...damn guess that makes me old ha.

My 360 is hooked up to a 32" LCD without the HDMI Cables and it still looks amazing. The game is downright gorgeous.

Even though I've been posting on this thread like hell, I'm not a big gamer whatsoever. Before this demo came out, I played my 360 maybe two times a week. I have just a few other games and they have all collected dust. Whenever I get my copy of FM3 next month, it will be the first video game I've bought in almost two years (last one being GTA4).

The demo really gives you a great scale of how enormous the actual game will be. I'm so pumped

^Do you really? I didn't know that. I've always had Gold, so I didn't think anything about it.

How do you use the clutch? I tried but my scrub ass couldn't figure it out

It's probably only mapped on controllers with a clutch pedal.

The best I can do is low 2:16's in the cooper, which is still way off the pace. I still can't figure out how to watch the top 10 replays.

It's enjoyable, pretty, and I like the fact that I can flip a car, but it's still feels a little distanced from a sim (but it isn't like I know what it's like to drive a Ferrari California).

Clutch = Left Bumper.

You have to hold it down while shifting...if you dont you hear the grinding of the transmission, which is awesomely realistic.

I just found the drifting mode today....its awesome

BTW, I'm right on your tail with the California in Time Trails

I screwed that up a bit, my best lap is low 1:16's. I got confused with your race times.

Oh damn! I heard the gears grind like hell when I was trying to shift but I couldn't figure out how what the clutch was. I'll probably be on tonight around 11:30 and drive around for a little.

The AI pisses me off. They are aggressive as fuck! I can't remember how many times I got spun out in the first turn of the demo, especially when I was in the Porsche GT3 race car.

You know if you go to the leader boards before you select the track and choose "start" from there it lets you do unlimited laps by yourself with your ghost of a best time?

There is alot of this demo that seems to be untouched that they are not telling you about. Especially the Drift Mode.

WTF? I didn't know you could do that or there was a drift mode. I'm not going to lie, I would do 5 laps going in the wrong direction and then finish the race so I could drive more without having to restart hahaha.

I'm going to try that out right now.

I've got your ass by .667 seconds in the California

Nope regular 360 with a 20G hard drive from my cousin-in-law for $100. Included HDMI cable, 2 controllers (1 wireless) and COD 4

The TV is a 26inch Phillips widescreen with 1080i picture, I think he said like $150 for it, gotta love family

Shit, I just remembered! Got a copy at my friends house

How much do you guys pay for live? My uncle have Time Warner internet but I don't think it's all that fast?? Hopefully I'll be able to use it without any problems.

In NY we had Fiber Optics from Verizon, that was crazy fast internet

Damn...I wish I could get Verizon FIOS down here. Time warner cable should be fast enough, as long as you're not streaming movies or anything like that while you play Live

Uhhhhh I think it's $60 for the first year of live and then $50 each year after that to renew it.

I may be wrong

I just watched that Japanese Drifting video again and it looks like the Infiniti and 370z have slightly tinted taillights...Wouldn't that be an amazing touch to the game

Yea it is. At first I thought it was expensive because you have to pay it all upfront, but I figured out how much it was a day to have it, and it isn't shit.

You really need to get your FM2 going and add me as a friend on XBL so we can compare lap times

Granted I'm sure you will beat me on most of them because I haven't played career on my Live account in almost two years. I have a separate non-Live account that I'm re-doing FM2 in

I saw that as well. I'm really hoping that's an option. They better put a damn TL in the game so I can make my car in the game . Also I'm hoping they will let you customize the look of your exhaust as well; different tips etc. In FM2 you could "upgrade" the exhaust for more power and such but there weren't any visual changes with that upgrade.

That would be awesome, but those steering wheels are EXTREMELY hard to get used to. They are very sensitive and the controller just feels better in my opinion.

Playing with actual car seats is pretty fun, my buddy left his MR-S seats in my apt because he got new seats and was in the process of selling them.

Pretty cool setting them up in front of the TV and playing some driving games

If I had the time, money, and resources to make something like this it might be worth it...

As cool as that looks, I wouldn't spend my time and money on it, not including the amount of space in my tiny ass room it would take up.

Here's my gamer chair:

Not exactly that chair, but that's pretty much what I use. Mad comfy and I can fold it back up and put it in my closet when I'm not using it

Any controller is easier once you get used to it.
After playing driving games with a good force feedback wheel, (I have the logitech driving force pro), the idea of playing a driving game using a controller just seems really lame. Wheel's don't have to be sensitive - you can crank up the turn range on a good wheel.

I keep flirting with the idea of getting another wheel for the xbox, although the only really good wheel is Fanatec's mad expensive wheel.

^Sick! I have an all leather one but the round one is way comfy.

The drifting is hard as fuck. I only got about 3,800 points one lap and that's the most I got
