I heard back from them today. They are working on a solution but not sure why mine is not fitting correctly. I don't think it could be the sway bar interfearance but it could be. I could remove the sway bar and push the exhaust together at all the slip joints as much as possible and see if that fixes it. I only think I would gain about 3/4in though of movement and that would just move everything towards the front of the car. I won't think it would actually make the exhasut hange lower at all. That is literally the only thing I have not tried at all yet. I have Monday off I could work on it then and try but I am stuck working this weekend unfortunately.

Rear Prop Drive Shaft 20990071 6 2L V8 Cadillac cts V Series 2008 12 | eBay
If the links do not work, copy/paste on google.
Then found it as a 'special order' part on one of the many GM on-line sites for around $486.35. Go to the 'This part also fits:' section and the '2013 Cadillac CTS-V 6.2L V8 - Gas' criteria appears. The 'special order' status is more than likely, as KaMLuNg mentioned, for the Automatic vs. Manual transmission requirement. That at least gives you an idea of what to expect pricewise.

So very GM of them to do that. Ugh. Need to find an online parts dealer that can get it if that is what it turns out to be.

So finally got my GoPro back from my buddy so I was able to make a couple videos this weekend. Here is one of them that I didn't actually need to edit. The editing on Android for video leaves lots to be desired it turns out. You can't even easily join two move clips together. More to come later once I can edit them on my computer at home and mayybe even record a few more.

Yes stock headers to full catback that removes the rear cats. Around town there might be a little drone but I really think it is more hearing the exhaust sound all the time. So far on the highway I haven't noticed any drone at all but my longest trip on the highway so far has been about 20-25 minutes. The real test will be this weekend when I head to PA and back so I will be doing about 900 miles of highway driving then. I will report back with more after that.

Thanks... Yeah, I can deal with some drone around town, I almost expect it. But I really don't want any while highway driving.. I'm thinking of doing something after the winter, either a Corsa Sport or Borla but still undecided. I was aware of Meistrschaft exhausts but never thought it was available for the CTS-V.. I need to research better..

It is really quiet with them closed unless you go WOT then obviously it is not as loud as open but still can definitely be heard in the cabin easily. Glad you think it sounds more exotic as that was what I was going for with it.

They take about 7 seconds to fully open or fully close. You have to hold the button down the entire time to do it. Unfortunately I just saw on their site they now have a one touch kit so you don't have to do that anymore but it wasn't listed when I bought mine.
I am definitely going to do that. You need to use two buttons though. There is a seperate button for open and close. So probably going to use the left for one and the right for the other and use the middle for my garage door.

I love hearing the loud start that almost everyday when leaving work I remote start my car as I walk to the car. I would hate to have it immediately quiet up after start. Louder is better in most cases to me. I like my exhausts like I my women in bed.

lol, you guys are funny. I can say that it's not a wagon. We now have 3 trucks and 2 trailers... so I don't need the utility of a wagon. Now, that doesn't mean if I found a steal of a deal on an AMG Wagon when I am looking I would dismiss it, but it's not really what I'm looking for. Either way it's a long ways off unless this business really pics up in the winter

I am not sure I would want that. I love driving them open 90% of the time. I drove 6 of 7 hours today on my drive to PA with them open. Honestly for me the exhaust is perfect open. The drone if there is any is so low with the radio on volume bar 3 of however many there are ctsv owners know that volume you can't even hear the exhaust at cruising speed on the highway. The moment you give it even a little gas you hear it. When I decided to test it with the valves closed though even when you gave it a little gradual gas to make a normal pass you really didn't hear anything. If you give it a good amount though you obviously still hear it but much less volume. It is a nice feature to have on long road trips or incase I ever have kids and need to travel and they are sleeping.
